Why would Chelsea pay top dollar for a player who may not play for 3 months? Surely come back in Jan when he is fit and cheaper

He's been coached and made at this club, his boyhood club he supports, said he'd never do what Rooney did as he remembers how much it hurt him as a fan at the tme, he said that 3 years ago.

Now he's put us in a position of having to accept low ball bids from the likes of Chelsea and possibly Spurs, he's a disgrace.

If he signs a new contract that instantly slims his chances of a move, with all due respect you're living in cloud cuckoo land if you think a player who wants to leave is going to sign a new contract... all it does is increase his price tag and scare off other clubs.

Anyway our own club regularly screws players and tries to force them out before their contracts are up... just like every club, but when a player does it to the club the fans gets upset lol

With Oxlade-Chamberlin apparently knocking Chelsea back it should work in our favour. If Conte really wants him he would be really pissed if they failed on two players . Comes down to having a poker face. Reject the first bid obviously , 2nd bid if it comes today reject that too, take the third tomorrow . I like Ross as a player, just factored him out of our plans months ago , shrug shoulders and move on.

They have more money then sense and probably know that we really wouldn't sell at that stage. If we've rejected £25million now then we won't sell for a redused amount in Jan. It's a point of principle now, he can go if sombody matchs our valuatioor cones close enough to it.

This will get done at £30m.

We are not going to get more in January. Just sell him now.
Wouldn't ever expect us to get more in January. That would just be small change in todays world. It comes down to valuations and driving the price (suitors want a 'bargain'). With £25m supposedly rejected, £30m is next stage to test our resolve. Lets see. ;)

But I thought that no one would sign him if he's injured lads? I thought you were all positive of that?

Once again you lot show that you know [Poor language removed] ALL about anything.

He's done nothing wrong whatsoever. Everton had the option to sort this out 12 months ago and they didn't take it.
He's refused to sign on a much better deal, because he likes managers who blow smoke up his backside like Martinez and tell him he's wonderful even when he plays crap.

Koeman tries to coach him, make him better, call him out if he thinks he should be better to get a reaction from him, drop him if he's off form, so he's spat his dummy out and wants off and if he has us over in the process he's not arsed.

Like I said, disgrace is what he is, good ridence, I guarantee he will falter at Chelsea or Spurs.

And that's his prerogative. He has a preference in terms of working conditions, like we all do. If he didn't like his boss, he switches jobs because he can. So be it.

If you want to make a Judas out of him, go ahead if it makes you feel better. But the reality is he's been a complete professional throughout all of this - the club are the party who put themselves in this situation; the contract should have been under his nose 12 months ago, then we could have sold if he rejected it then. We didn't; that's on the club not the player.
