No, he didn't know that when he lunged in.

I'm not dismissing Pickford, just not allowing any obvious and glaring errors he makes to be airbrushed out to justify his fee.

He has to be about three times better than the two GKs we had last season to do that.

No mate. They are rational. You are the one after two or three games (one in which he could have ruined the season) who is calling him a legend and saying he's now worth a world record £50M. That's 'unbelievable'.

I was a bit unsure of him to start and the price tag
but gotta to be fair to the lad
He's sharp, love the way he is committed to doing the best, last night he was lucky
Saved by offside but hey better to get stuck in then take a risk and do nothing.

So grouchy Davek. First of all, it is 25 mil with a potential of 5 mil in add-ons. Second of all, he will be England's keeper for the next decade plus and has thoroughly impressed me since day 1. He will only get better as he gains experience. Great buy.

Who used the word 'legend'?

I said he's in a similar category to Nigel Martyn. In terms of his performance level.

Nothing controversial there.

It's plain to anyone to see Pickford is a great talent and going to win things at Everton. If he keeps this up.

Talking about Evertonians making snap judgements, this was you after 3 games under Martinez....

So you took time at that point to criticise your fellow Evertonians after three games, now you're judging Evertonians for having full faith in Pickford after 5 games.

Nice to see your hypocrisy levels are still high.

Disagree with that. We need a cavalier GK like we need another Kenwright.

I cant agree with the generally massive ticks he's got so far from fans. I think he's done ok but I see things that are ropey.

I dont know what all that's based on. As said above, he looks ok but makes some alarming decisions also.

...and that season we conceded 39 goals - bettered only once in the PL era.

Thanks for underlining I was correct.
