Rarely have I wanted a player to succeed at Goodison as much as this lad. There is a cult hero in there - a real hard man who can also play. I think Koeman sees a spot for him, otherwise he would be out of the squad and talking to other clubs already. Probably is ahead of McCarthy at this point.

That tackle on the back of a couple of serious injuries showed that he is made of stern stuff. Forget the back heel - it was on, he just didn't quite execute it. Also get the feeling with Mo that being a professional footballer is a gift from God that he appreciates and that Everton are not just another club - we mean something. I hope he can stay fit whilst taking his chances in Koeman's 11 when the opp arises. He is a better footballer than people give him credit for and I would have no issue with him starting in Split.

Would you identify yourself as a Lower Gwladys type of blue mate?

Not sure what that means but don't go very often as live in the south. More recently have been in the Main Stand or Top Balcony. Last time I was in the Gwladys was a 4-0 drubbing of Villa around St Patrick's Day, some years ago under Moyes. Wherever I am watching the game though I would want Besic to do well - he seems like a bloke who appreciates the lifestyle and career that he has got and doesn't take his career or club's fans for granted.

Thanks mate. Would you describe yourself as someone who "likes a bit of footie banter"?

Needs time. Never doubt the lad who had Messi in his left pocket

<----- believe

Not quite, mate. This shot flew right in.

I'm still fuming thinking abar it.

He saw the whites of the Soccer AM Showboat highlights reel in his eyes and thought "yes, the OIOIIIIII hashtagTEKKERS lads will accept me into their world, perhaps even make me king, I can't pass this opportunity up" as Calvert-Lewis stormed alongside him leaving Otamendi for dead.

I've watched it again.

I need a new Mac screen.
