6-0 huh? This is the europa league, very rarely does anything more than 3-0 ever happen. Poor game, but happy that a poor game still puts us in good position. Its quite simple, we need to play them close to even next week. We SHOULD be able to do that. If we score 1 next week, it means we force them to score 3 to win. No away goals is big.

Not the best that, played 80 minutes in first gear, we only scored when we upped the tempo and then dropped off again.
Klassen looks good, Sandro also looks a player and Keane looks good although very slow.
Need a quick center half, sigurdson and new striker.
The most worrying part about the whole game is they had the most clear cut chances, should have slotted atleast one of them.

In the sh@t here yknow

Going there only 1-0 up. Can see this ending in tears

Did say time and time again that we needed more pre season games going into this one!! I could see it coming so obvious when we aren't fit

Yep, 6/7th again this season would be a decent return, were basically the same side as last year but without our best striker.

...too early to say that. It really will take time for new players to settle in. I also think we'll see a few more coming in but any improvement on 7th would be good.

I can accept the rust and sloppiness but really did need to be better.

Obviously, a win is a win, but could have done with three goal cushion at least.

Positive is it focuses us for next week.

Overall thoughts.

Rooney looked much better with Sandro there. Understandable Sandro didn't start, but why he picked DCL for a wide-berth over Lookman is extremely frustrating.

Martina started okay. But after 60 was knackered and basically stopped doing the basics.

Our movement at times - particularly Gueye, Klaassen and Sandro - was excellent. But too often we didn't keep that up consistently.

A typical pre-season performance, understandable considering it's late July, but we definitely need to up it about three gears next week. A better/fitter team would have beat us tonight had we played like that.

We won. Give us another week and the players will be stronger. We need a striker that for sure, a "fox in the box". Sandro was promising, but don't think he is a target man. Klaassen had a good performance , but faded before he was substituted. Calvert-Lewis showed nice touches and was promising. We will struggle with high balls into the box this season, we lack height in that department.

Everyone just needs to chillout, that was a competitive match in July with a team of new faces - we won the game end of let's move on

Highlights
Klassen looked like he will be decent
Got a player in sandro when he stops trying so hard
Mirallas and gana looked in good form

Only comment is we need much more pace, and for the first time questioning the need for gylfi!!

why didn't we come out the blocks like we did that last half an hour? would have caned them by 3+

they turned up to try and grind out a draw and must have been utterly shocked by our lack of ambition, so they started attacking and could have beaten us on another day
