Why wouldn't we sell him? He knows he's not in the manager's plans... It's nothing to do with being classy. I'd argue we've shown a lot of class in helping him deal with his illness thus far... If we can find a team who'll give him the playing time he supposedly wants, sell. He must be better now to be smiling and joining in training, but that doesn't take away from the fact he's taking him a lot of money and will very rarely be playing! This isn't meant in a heartless way, but him sitting on the bench every week is unlikely to make him very happy.

Dunno

I would imagine they'll do whatever Lennon wants, but we still won't see much of him if he stays

Looked happy to be back playing football. Pleased for him - he's always been a top pro for us.
I know we say it because we are Everton fans, but I genuinely believe Lennon is at the right football club to help him in his recovery. Not only will he be receiving the best medical attention possible, but every player who has ever played for the club describes it as a family. The support he will get from the playing staff and the likes of kenwright will aid his recovery I've no doubt. To see him smiling again is fantastic.

We have been recognised by people not associated with the club for our record on mental health.
E.g. Stan Collymore

Glad he's back, but if it hadn't been for his illness I'm sure he'd have been sold this summer - he barely got a look in last season

We won't sell him now, because we have more class than that, but I don't expect to see much of him in the first team this season

If it was not for his illness then maybe he would have got more of a look in?

Could the two things not be linked?

I like Collymore, has spoke well about us over the years on several issues, might of played for the RS but unlike most of them he remained a normal person and didnt turn into a moronic religious cult type follower like most of them do

It's great seeing Lennon about in pre-season, with a smile on his face. Sometimes with mental health, it's best to keep in a routine and have supportive people around you.

I also think he'll have a part to play this season. If we sign Giroud and Sigurdsson, alongside Rooney, Barkley, Gana, Schneiderlin, Bolasie injured and Deulofeu back at Barca there's a massive lack of pace. Lennon has pace in abundance, and hopefully dealing with his health issues we may see a different player. Everyone in the squad will have a part to play this season.

As much as I don't condone the kopite wife beating mug - I understand that he suffered mental illness and he's very open about it, which has probably helped many people get help over it.

In the absence of Coleman, could he become a right wing back similar to Valencia at UTD ?

Maybe he didn't play because of the state of mind he had been in?

Personally, I don't see him a signing a starter in the Premier League, but I do see him playing a lot of Europa/League Cup games.

It's possible, but Davies has shown he can do a job there also. Hopefully Kenny will have a good pre season and we'll have good competition for places.

It's naturally to be excited about new players, but we shouldn't forget what we have coming through. It's going to be a big season for Lookman, Kenny, DCL. And hopefully Lennon will have his part to play. When he has played, he's always done a job.

I think he is just one of these players that will survive the cull, also he has had his problems and Everton do look after their players. We probably won't see to much of him unless we get an injury crisis, I see Lennon like Martina if we get him a solid experienced player around that can come in and do a job. You have to have a few of them in a squad.
