I always wonder if anyone does actually meet up like this, and what do they do, shake hands and have a laugh, get the jackets off and roll up shirt sleeves then straight into a queens rules stance or kick and spit? what are the rules of internet meet ups to fight? What happens if the guy you've offered to meet does turn up and he's 7 foot with knuckles dragging along the ground? can you video the meet?

I try to have a pragmatic approach to new signings even if I'm not overly keen. For example, I'm not convinced about Pickford but I imagine SW and RK have done their homework and have identified him as the player they want. They are now assembling their team and I accept they have to get on with it.

True but this is linked in with our leading goalscorer going smells a wee bit , but could be just coincidence - Not?

I was convinced it was two separate deals earlier this week, but hey are definitely too much of a coincidence to be totally separate.

I think we'd have got Rooney no matter what but they fact they wanted Rom sweetened it all up a bit.

When somebody says "lets meet up and sort it out" on the internet, it usually ends in some dogging misadventure I have heard.

...I think Rooney was a target regardless of whether Lukaku stayed or went. Months ago both Koeman and Walsh said they were very keen to bring him into the squad. Lukaku was going to Chelsea up until recently. I don't think either deal was dependent on the other.

Rooney isn't Lukaku's replacement, he was coming in anyway. The challenge now is to get the right CF in.
