I would find Rooney underwhelming in isolation. It would depend on who else we signed in an attacking role. Signing both him + Giroud would seem odd.

Can't fault the board / RK / SW at all though, if they want him then they know what's best.

The execution of the deals has been spectacularly impressive so far, everyone involved should be very happy with their work with hopefully more to come.

Klaassen
Ramirez (imminent)
Keane (imminent).
Possibles:-
Rooney on loan
Giroud.
All to cover (in the main) for Ross and Rom (amongst others) leaving.
With more to come its very good planning and delivering so far. Gonna be a brand new team this!
