Ross Barkley

Fair comment. Everyone is second guessing the situation. The silence from Barkley is deafening though isn't it.

Same could be said from the club really.

Nobodies saying anything currently, probably cos theres nothing to really say as yet.

Just a hunch of mine, I know the players are back from the 3rd, but I would imagine Ronny will be "back to work" next week, think things will certainly become a lot clearer next week.

Regardless of what's actually going on in the background with Barkley, the fact that a good proportion of the fans on here who are a good representation of Everton fans in general aren't arsed about him leaving speaks volumes.,,,,,,,my own two cents, let him go, I think he's in the way if that makes sense,,,

Amazing how how some of our fans can predict the future. Koeman will only be here another couple of years, we're only getting 10 bob for Barkley etc.

None of us know the full story here. How about we wait and see whether he signs or is sold (and for how much) before moaning and assuming?

whats the fun in that, this forum wouldn't exist without moaners and assumptions ;)

Haha good point, fair enough!

I just get sick of reading page after page of doom-mongering on every thread...usually by the same person obsessed with having a pop at our manager.

I'd like Barkley to stay and become the player we all want him to be - consistently good/effective, however if he's spat the dummy for whatever reason let him go. We've seen it all before with other, just as good players. McMahon, Rooney etc.

You seem a bit agitated there mate?

You ask what the agenda is, whilst stating that you "didn't rate him"..
A quick search shows you've made 200 posts in this thread and that only goes back to Sep't btw. A very quick glance doesn't show many positive views on Ross at all.
Is it more a 'dislike' rather than not thinking he's any good?

To add balance, if Ross goes to any of the likes of whu or newc, then I'll be really disappointed.
Much the same as if he stayed and went for a free, that I feel would be a real snub to the many Evertonians who support him (the caveat being that his manager did seem to want to talk about him publicly on so many occasions).

I'm not agitated at all maybe you are reading it like that as you are agitated yourself ? an agenda is a underlying motive of a person or group . .. how is me not agreeing with people that think he's the third best attacking mid in the prem and comparable to Paul scholes, lampard and Gerard... an agenda? What motive do I i have? Am I hoping that I can drive ross from Everton by posting on the internet? It's an opionion mate that's all . 200 posts in this thread ? Since sept? That is surprising as I don't feel I post very often on this site , but I guess I do. The reason my post count is high in this thread is becuase as soon as I say I don't rate him and give my reasons why, I receive about 10 alerts quoting my post. I then reply to them all because if I don't people will think I'm dodging the question like dave does. And there are posts about ross where I have said he improved and it looks like the penny has dropped and I have said he's mom ,... people have even posted "fair play " to me for saying he's mom also mentioning that because of me not rating him and telling people so, "at least you admit when he does play well" I don't hate ross Barkley ... I have never met him... the tension on here comes from people that disagree on ross Barkley that's it.. I would love ross to stay and become the player we all wanted him to be ... but I can't see it, don't think he will sign.. I don't think he will ever be that player if he stays or leaves....I think we could replace him easily .... that's my view on him as a player ... as a person I don't know him at all but he seems mentally weak and despite all his gifts ... this is the thing thats going to hold him back IMO...

eh, at the end of the day the manager is the outsider out of the two. Sure he's the Boss, but Ross has always been blue. I can understand fans having a pop at koeman, don't agree, but i get it.

In a perfect world, Ross would understand Koeman will be in barca in 24 months, he would adapt to koemans everton and knuckle down like a real professional - there is no harm being able to play in 2 or 3 different styles, might even help his england chances - put it down to his development, and when ronald leaves any new manager coming in will respect Ross for his professionalism. Youve seen it in their body language all year, they dont like eachother. The sad thing for Ross is that Koeman has won it all at every level... and hes still struggling to get into the england squad. He's in no position to question the mans tactics or play style. and if this is the case, and he has spat his dummy, no top 6 manager is even going to look at him.

Ross signs for West Ham or Newcastle in a last minute panic buy, you heard it here first ;)
