Well that is disappointing- thanksIt was a story out of nothing
I'm not sure if GOT gives 18 year olds their own Transfer Fred so this seems most appropriate in here
" Everton have completed the signing of Netherlands Under-18 international Nathangelo Markelo from Dutch second division side FC Volendam. "
Sorry , can't do links at the moment. It seems we've tracked him for a while , he'll go into the U23s as too old for u18s. Hes a right centre back , right back , right wing back type, though that would seem to be an area we have well covered with Morgan Feeney , Holgate, Pennington , Browning etc and Kenny, Connolly at RB, plus others. The likes of Kenny , Holgate Pennington are now arguably ready for regular first team squad exposure or loan. So an interesting transfer, presumably based more on talent he's shown than our need to fill a gap. Would like to see at least one more attacking option like George Hirst coming in soon.
Change of topic, anybody know if Antonee Robinson has signed a further contract , last I saw he'd been offered one but not clear if he's since signed it?
Interesting that he quotes our coaches asaying he has midfield potential, and his adviser suggesting he's maybe too small for a CB, maybe they are looking for a Barry type of player to complement Walsh, Beni andWilliams next season. A good scouting find though if he turns out good.Quotes in the Echo from his advisor saying he wonder if we'll try him as a 6.
Well that's a little disappointing, thought we had him for a while back there. City even have a more suave contract guy than us
anyone know if we're in that youth champions league thing next season?
think it was liam walsh mentioned it near the end of the season but never heard it before or anything since.
We should be. It's all the CL qualified teams plus domestic champions.
