If we don't try, I would be disappointed. Carlos Bacca will probably not break us into the top 4, or get other top players considering Everton as a destination.

There have been 0 credible links to Bacca anyway mate, even if he signed I'm sure he wouldnt be Rom's replacement; we need atleast 2 without him leaving imo.

Arsenal are out of the CL for the first time in ages and still have won cups recently. same with Chelsea last season when they finished 10th and still attracted good talent. Recent winning history is important in recuirting. Right now our selling points are cash and potential. will attract some players and some might not be for it. We're a promising team but it's still a project

Who have Arsenal signed?

All I keep reading is that Sanchez wants to leave cos they dont have CL football.

Mbappe jogged them on I read also, cos I mean thats what we do, we believe the media, right?

We have had 1 of Englands best GK come out and say Pickford is a quality signing, we are also on the verge of convincing Klassen to leave his boyhood club to join us, thats a pretty big statement, no? Surely our name will ring out in Holland?

But no, you want us to sign a player that every other team in the world wants to sign.

You would prefer to replace a world class striker in Lukaku with Carlos Bacca, as opposed to M'Bappe or Lacazette?
Which tells the football world we have high ambitions?
I think you are missing the point. Bacca may have another good season or two in him. Sandro can play. We don't have to improve at CF if we improve everywhere else to get better and don't have too much of a drop off at Striker.

Now obviously it's a huge risk to replace Rom with Carlos Bacca. But he might make a very nice backup Striker and provide some great leadership. Also an insurance policy in case we take a shot at someone like Bats and he doesn't pan out. He also gives us a bit of something we don't have.

My fear is they are all backups and no 1st choice goalscorers.

Let's wait and see would we end up with I guess.
