Standard of defending in the PL has been awfully for a while now. Think we should be looking at Series A for potential new signingsite at CB. Old school Italian defending seems to have done alright for Juve.

He is overrated. So you are a saying an England CB should not play CB.

I reckon he might be alright - can head - can pass and is even decent moving with the ball. I haven't watched him too much mind you.

I could see him at Stoke. Or maybe West Brom.

Nowhere near as good as Williams, and a bit unfair comment on Jags, as @ijjysmith says would be perfect for a Stoke, West Ham, not good enough for Everton

Well it's something we will have to disagree on then. Not as good as the Jags of a few years ago and maybe Williams also but IMO an upgrade on either of them currently although not measurably so.

As I say he's not woeful.

But I do reckon there will be better options that him so hope the choice isn't the three mentioned!

A deffo yes if we are building a squad he is better than Williams who is totally immobile, who got bullied last night - this guy can play and has tremedous height in a poor team - he would be an asset to us!
