Should we prepare for life after...

Soz, got the wrong end of the stick.

It would be a shame, but players come, players go.

The ambition of the owner is not in question in my mind. The ability to deliver, well, jury is out.

I know net spend isn't the be all and end all. But once Lukaku and Barkley have gone we're probably gonna be in the situation where a billionaire has came in, said nothing will ever be the same, promised huge warchest, and in reality pocketed well over £100m.

The proof is in the pudding and he needs to have one heck of a window to compensate for losing our best 3 players inside 3 windows.

Stones went for almost £50 million, good business in my opinion, I watch him at Man City and I'm still not impressed with him in defense, should have been a midfielder for me.

He is nowhere near dynamic enough for a midfielder.

He is a good footballer for a defender.

Well he hasnt pocketed a bean. The club have.

And like you, net spend means jack to me.

If a footballer wants to play for a different/better club, these days, aint a lot a club can do. But yeah, this Summer is a pretty important few months.

State of our fans not being arsed if these two leave. Mosh and Koeman really got everyone drinking the koolaid at the moment, a couple seasons ago there would have been war if you said our three best prospects would all be sold within a couple years. Now everyone's like "don't care' well just buy loads of awesome players to replace them... As if it's all garaunteed to work out wonderfully lol.

we sell both this summer and I'll be disgutsed

We would have to change the young players perceptions of us as a club. This summer is a great chance to do so.

We will see what happens

Well Pogba sacked off the league champions, and CL finalists, (likely) in Italy for the 5th best side in England and EL football.

Its a mad, upside down world these days.

If an offer comes in and they don't want to sign do we really have control over that though? I'm not sure it's a case of not being bothered it's more to do with accepting how we have done things as a club historically, in recent times. Everton fans should have been furious over many things in recent years so don't expect them to change anytime soon.

Not much you can do if a player REALLY wants to leave ..

They are jewels in the crown that can be stolen at any moment, that's what football is about. We are nowhere near to being a top team right now and these two may believe they can have it better elsewhere, which is their right. This summer is going to be one of the most important in our history, we either break with the old and show our intentions or we carry on as is, and all will finally know the truth about this so called Everton project. You bet nothing is going to happen, some bet something will, I along with others don't know, the truth is nobody is right on this because until we know for sure, which you and everyone else don't, this is an unknown.

That's it though: the break with the past was supposed to be that no longer would we be in a position where players would get off due to ambitions being thwarted. Moshiri stated this was the first objective of his regime, but he failed to deliver that outcome because he failed to invest heavily in the transfer windows he's been involved in.

The feller's a phoney. Our fake sheik. He WILL oversee a stadium build but that is purely self interest as it adds millions to his share value.
