Should we prepare for life after...

I like that some people say that if Rom and Ross don't get Everton, they should get out.

Does this go for the manager who had the Catalan press in his house so he could put himself in the shop window for the Barca job??
Ha Ha.

Indeed.

I like the fact that these two players are being made out to be bigger than the club every single day on this forum, and the club will cease to exist anymore and spiral down into non-existence. Is that about right Davek?

No. They're not being made out to be bigger than the club by me.

I'm saying they are jewels in the crown and if they follow Stones out the door this summer then something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

I think we did have an envious spine to be proud of when we had the three of J Stones, R Barkley and Young Romlu, but once Stones went it said to me that there is not real interest in building for the future. I hoipe that I am wrong.

Wouldn't miss either.

Doesn't turn up enough for me Lukaku. All his goal have come from about 15 games this season. Seen a lot more stinkers from him than blinders.

Barkley doesn't have a football brain. Gazza, Rooney, Beckham etc weren't the brightest of people but they all had football brains. Don't get me wrong he's a very good player but I am now sick of screaming "give it now" only to see him take that extra touch. Just don't think it is something you can teach, you've either got the football brain or not.

Wow, the top scorer in the premiership doesnt turn up enough.

Stop people, have a cup of tea and think how can a striker for the seventh place team but top goalscorer in the league and not turn up enough.

They are jewels in the crown that can be stolen at any moment, that's what football is about. We are nowhere near to being a top team right now and these two may believe they can have it better elsewhere, which is their right. This summer is going to be one of the most important in our history, we either break with the old and show our intentions or we carry on as is, and all will finally know the truth about this so called Everton project. You bet nothing is going to happen, some bet something will, I along with others don't know, the truth is nobody is right on this because until we know for sure, which you and everyone else don't, this is an unknown.

Sorry if you see it that way,it wasn't meant.I just thought that given the squad he inherited and the little time he had to improve it,he's done a lot for the club,in a very short time.If after last seasons toothless performance at Sunderland someone had told me we would be in Europe,I'd have suggested they look for some shade to sit in.

No it was more that I didn't straight up say he has done nothing, which is how the edit made it look. No biggy. He has done a decent job alright and I am certain we aren't going back to the mess of the last two years, that's for sure.

My comment was more that IMO he has done nothing so far with us or in his managerial career to suggest we are guaranteed good times/success in the next couple seasons. It's still in the balance for me, and I would still lean more towards him being a good manager for us but nothing special.

Stones went for almost £50 million, good business in my opinion, I watch him at Man City and I'm still not impressed with him in defense, should have been a midfielder for me.

You are. Wrong that is.

What did? Selling Stones?
It was more what we seemed to have, representative in a way that we had arguably the best younger player in each department, up front midfield and defense. A quick fix or bringing in ,more proven players is great but it seems that when we had all three then we had what we have wished for a long time.

Selling our 3 young hopes inside 12 months as looks to be the case. Not what I'd hoped for at all.

Soz, got the wrong end of the stick.

It would be a shame, but players come, players go.

The ambition of the owner is not in question in my mind. The ability to deliver, well, jury is out.

The fellas out of his depth RayRay, he might be able to make billions for his boss but he simply does not have a clue how modern football works.

He should walk.
