We've won nothing with either of them. My head is more interested in those coming in who might actually like Everton. For a bit at least.

Most of this is aimed at Lukaku I should point out.

They wont leave. No one will pay £70 mil + for Lukaku. We may get £30 mil for Barkley possibly. I'd not be concerned if we didnt make an effort to keep either. Its about the future signings like you say..

They've been in the team for four years now, and Everton are no closer to achieving something notable than they were with the likes of Cahill, Fellaini, Jelavic and Anichebe up top.

Even if they stayed, I'd never want to see either of them on the pitch at Anfield, Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge again. Their performances in the really tough games are pathetic.

Don't think they work together on the pitch that well at all, also they are not 18 anymore.

If they go, they go. May as well enjoy the ride and see what happens.

We haven't exactly missed Stones this season have we?

Sigurdsson is not a Koeman type player. I highly doubt he'll be arriving here. Lukaku cant be replaced. A club with limited resources cant make that claim that they'll get as good as they let go.

We have also reached 4th and 5th positions before without them. Players come and go but the club moves on.
As said earlier if we keep them, great!! if not im sure we will still progress under Koeman..

His goals will be difficult yes, but replacing a him as an all round footballer, Easy.

Lets say we sell Lukaku and sign a striker who gets us 12-15 next season do you think we will be in a worse position in the league come this time next season?

If we had 3 midfielders capable of getting 10 goals each, we could do well with a striker
who gets 15 a season.

And won zero in decades. And never sustained any of those positions.

Again we always hit the reset button because we're not in a position of power to prevent it.

Add to this a manager who's out in another 2 seasons...

Basically, unless a statement is made in the window, I won't be expecting to challenge for top 4 as per the "project"
