I'd take those two over him every day of the week.
Forster is not very good and I'd say Schmiechel and Pickford are a similar level except Pickford is much younger and potentially improving. Of available Premier League keepers I'd only go after Butland instead

Is there a keeper, who doesn't play in the Uk, that would be worth a shout? Not to enthused by either Butland ( injury prone, inconsistent), Pickford ( unproven, makes more than a few mistakes ) or Forrester ( big, but slow ). We need to think outside the box. Not every world class keeper plays in the UK.

There certainly are. Lots of German shouts but the last two from that league (Zieler and Karius) haven't exactly inspired. As far as young keepers go Pickford is near the top of what we could get. Ederson, Donnarumma, etc. aren't coming here. More experienced guys like maybe Patricio are out there but they might not be better now and don't have the same potential

In reality probably yes.

But football and football fees are about a million miles away from reality.

He's a young England defender. We'll be lucky to get in for less than £25m.

He has only a year left in his current contract though.

Looks like Lucas Perez is on his way out from Arsenal in the summer, Arsenal fans seem to rate him but Wenger doesn't which doesn't mean much these days. Would be cheaper than what we was gonna pay last summer too.

I wonder if Walsh will push for him again

Sort it and get Patrick Roberts while you there:

Kelechi Iheanacho has been told to leave Manchester City after being restricted to a bit-part role at the club.

The Nigerian striker was a regular at the start of the season and hit four goals in mid-October, but has fallen down the pecking order.

Speaking to Completesportnigeria, Iheanacho’s advisor Olumide Olowu has said Pep Guardiola has offered more minutes to Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus.

"Guardiola seems to have his own players that he wants to play and you can’t expect a young player with huge potential to be wasting away on the bench," he said.

"I’m not speaking for Iheanacho, but as someone who is involved in advising him, I don’t think he has been treated fairly by Guardiola and I think his career will be better elsewhere."

He's rated very highly at City, by everyone bar Pep it seems. I know that certain.

Pickford really is going to be top drawer and massively underated by many in this thread.

Some of his attributes are outstanding.

I know many of the top coaches in the country who've worked with him and you honestly don't hear a bad word said about him, just glowing references.

I also know City and Arsenal have been very interested for some time so it would be a big coup to get him. I can only assume he sees is as a good next step if it's true although I'll still be surprised if he's not at City next year.
