Summer Transfer Window 2017

Dolberg looks like he would also play the Mane role effectively with his pace and workrate. If Koeman was looking at him imagine a front 3 like

Dolberg Benteke Sigurdsson

A realistic front 3 that would have goals and assists across the line rather than relying on just one player.

Dolberg is a central striker or can play the number 10 role, not as a wide forward....

Aye, would love to see Klaasen come in.

I don't know how many CM's we need, like, but it can't hurt to have another one...

Would be the more attacking one of the midfield three IF we signed him. Koeman wants more goals from the centre of the park aswell and he's got 19-20 goals in all comps for Ajax this season!

Not saying it's easy but that's why they get paid so much. If Koeman and particularly Walsh can't get the players in then they should be replaced.

I do and dont agree at the same time.

It is their job to get them in but there's all the other factors to take into account.

Aye but what I was referring to is that if we are really interested in him and Sigurdsson maybe Koeman sees them as his mane and tadic? Mane played as a wide forward for Koeman but often drifted more central throughout matches - almost as a front 2 with Pelle whilst Tadic was the wide left player who offered the creativity (Sigurdsson?)

I just think if we sign Dolberg Koeman will still want that big, physical centre forward up top who he seems to favour so perhaps Dolberg could act as that wide forward who can drift in as almost 2 up top like Lookman and Mirallas have sometimes done with Rom this season?

Think if Lukaku goes then Dolberg would be the ideal replacement and be our central striker, the type Koeman likes that can hold the ball up and link the play. No doubting he's maybe looking at Sigurdsson to be our goal scoring CM or wide forward player though.

I'm with @ijjysmith regarding being on the fence with who will actually come but you are right regarding Schneiderlin and the reason being is he is the type of quality player who just wants to play football. Too many see themselves as bigger than what they are or Everton as a stepping stone. Very difficult to get the top players to choose us as basically everyone has dollar to spend these days

So important to get the right players not just quality wise nut personality wise. Ronald definitely left a good impression on Morgan so it can happen, question is can we do that again another 4/5 times in the summer.

Maybe that was also part of what Walsh meant when he said about ensuring the player had the right character etc mate the other month

Take both Dolberg and Tielemans as an example, both have actually played down moving to a CL - massive team, and stated they need to ensure they are playing as the most important factor, both are the attitude we should be looking at recruiting, there is enough out their at all age levels with that attitude and the ability to match.

As for who we can attract, think we as fans and with some past justification do downplay the level of player we can get, remember a lot saying we couldn't get Lukaku/Deulofeu etc until we did, also remember players like Tadic and Ziyech and people saying they'd go to a bigger team than us, and they ended up at saints and ajax respectively

He just tried to sign Sissoko last year, character must not be the number 1 criteria

Yep Walsh has mentioned it a lot mate and he's spot on to be going on about it as well. Team spirit goes about hell of a long way to creating a winning team.

I'm looking forward to the summer mate, I think we can back Koeman and I hope the targets we have identified are realistic and we can get deals early over the line

Much more clear on the players I want out than those I want in.

Both keepers out. Now.
Jags, Williams and Mori can go for all I care.
Something weird is happening with Barkley.
Rom wants out but I'm not sure anyone will pay what we want so that's a funny one.
McCarthy will finally prove me right. Out.
Deulofeu will always have a place in my heart. Shame he has the lung capacity of a 9 year old girl. Laters.
Mirallas. Not sure.
Barry. Reckon he'll stick around to be honest.
The others like McGeady, Niasse, Koneface, Tarashaj and that type can go if anyone will take them. Oh no Kone's gone no matter what isn't he?

Doubt all of those mentioned will actually go though. That's quite a lot really.

Anyway, that's a lot of players I don't really want. But not much of a clue on who I would like nor who we could actually get.

The shouts of Maguire types are about as exciting, to me, as going to the shop to buy milk, but at least that type would definitely join us.
Then there's these obviously highly rated foreign lads who I've barely seen. But find it hard to believe that we'd be their first choice of team to go to.

It's not easy is it mate?
