Cleverly 8 million
Naisse. 12 million
Lennon 7/8 million
McGeady 2 million
Geri. 12 million
These are players I think most of us agree won't be here next season so 40 million in sales.
If Koeman brings in 4/5 players at least 2 will go as he has stated he likes a squad of 17/18 and use the young players to boost numbers.
McCarthy due to injuries and the Irish situation is likely to go along with Mori (if he brings in 2 CH)
Newcastle bid 20 million for McCarthy and we could reasonably expect
the same again.
Mori at least 15 million for a proven PL centre half.
So thats 75 million in sales.
If the Sissoko money from January (30 million ) from January is still in the drawer with the Arteta money then that's 105 million with the summer budget which we were promised would be substantial ,so say 80 million
That's 180 million to spend.
Koeman has promised Rom big ambitious signings and said stay and fight for CL with us so maybe this year we are bringing a machine gun to a gunfight.
Koubailly / VVD or a CH of that ilk is 50 million
Keane 30 million Hart Pickford Forster etc 25 million that's 105 million and 80 left.
That should buy two top class players to our Attacking /midfield options
Add Rooney on a free and that's 6 players either straight into the first 11 or fighting hard and close to it.
Koeman and Moshiri have promised big things and Koeman has proved ruthless in getting rid of deadwood.
Personally I'd like Hart /Keane /VVD / Fabregas or Mata ( to rotate with Davies for 3 years) ,Siggy and Rooney.
I've no doubt Walsh has one or two unknowns on his radar as well
This may all be rumblings and fantasy football stuff because it's scary to think of Everton with that size of a gross outlay.
But it's a new era and the vehicle for financing the stadium , the Finch Farm sponsorship , the new shirt sponsorship and the rumoured Chinese investment gives me the feeling that Moshiri is giving it one big no holds barred chance at CL
He seen how stadium development costs held Arsenal back in transfer spending and doesn't want the same to happen to us.
I could be a million miles away from the truth or spot on , who knows.
Only thing that worried me is Bill in charge of negotiations.
I read an article about the transfer of the lad from Belgium that fell through in Jan and Bill is still involved.
We need business done early and not deadline day stuff so Bill can save 3 months wages.
He nearly messed up the Schnederlin move till Koeman had a go on TV
Also poor Bills health is not the best
Wasn't he on deaths door this time last year and said goodbye to the fans before his miraculous recovery and sale of his shares.

Why would we want Rooney?
Why would Mata/fabregas move?
Why would we want hart or forster?

As good as that team looks I still think it is too dependent on Lukaku for goals.

With those centre backs we can play a very high line allowing Sigurdsson and barkley more support from midfield and if were dominating we can bring on dolberg and solanke...as well as others...

Pickford
Holgate.....Koulibaly......VVD......Baines
Davies.....Schneiderlin...Gueye
Barkley..........Lukaku.........Sigurdsson
GK -- Robles / Stekelenburg
RB -- Kenny / Coleman
CB -- Jagielka / Williams
LB -- Galloway / Sessegnon
CM -- Besic / Barry / Tielemans
RF -- Lookman / Bolasie
CF -- Dolberg / Solanke
LF -- Mirallas / DCL

Pickford -- 20mil
Koulibaly -- 45mil
VVD -- 45mil
Sessegnon -- 10mil
Tielemans -- 25mil
Sigurdsson -- 25mil
Dolberg -- 25mil
Solanke -- FREE / 5mil

Squad sales = 80mil
Player signings = 200mil
Net spend = 120mil

Think some of the estimates on the prices are a bit optimistic.

1 Jose doesn't rate Rooney.
2 Koeman has said he'll improve the team
3 He would be s freebie
4 Bring experience and winning mentality
Main reason see No 2
Jose has sold Mata before so doesn't rate him very highly.
Fabregas is 30 soon and so far has been a bit part player at Chelsea.
Last nights performance has showed he still has class
His stats for the second half of every season he has played are a lot worse than his stats for the first half so hopefully Conte will let him go and he'd be a good option for us.
We need a decent reliable keeper
All Fantasy Football and wishful thinking like 95% of this thread

I would be very shocked if we signed VVD/Koulibaly. Despite all the talk by the press of us being mega rich I've yet to see the evidence tbh. Moshiri is more a steady evolution type owner than revolution and whilst no doubt he's been positive for us, he's simply going to give us the investment to essentially secure 7/8th every season unless Koeman overachieves the odd season and we finish 5/6th.

The likes of Van Dijk/Koulibaly will go to the top 6 clubs for £40-50 million we will be in for the bracket below for £20-25 million players like Keane/De Vrij/Maguire.

Basically we need a Usmanov/Oligarch type takeover once the stadium gets built for us to really push on and compete for the title/CL places regulary. I think preparing ourselves to be realistic will benefit fans expectations in the whole this summer.

Even though we bidded what was it, €60m for Koulibaly last summer?

its not really, hes near 28 and only once has he hit 20+ premier league goals. usually single figures.
His prem goals record is about 100 starts and 70 as sub, and he's got 70 league goals? I am not saying he wouldnt come here and be a disaster, but if Ron could get into his head and make him feel loved and wanted i still maintain his goalscoring record is excellent for someone who cost £12M? If it doesnt work out, we've spunked no more than we paid for Niasse. I still reckon it would be worth a punt for that money, but i understand why others think it would be insanity :)

Well Koeman seems to think we can challenge the top 4 next season...with those 20-25mil centre backs we'll just keep below that level
