But we won't play like that against Chelsea cause it's a home game.

Our away form is not acceptable but we need big signings to change that. Only a select few teams tend to win most of their aways. That's the challenge next year.

It's the performances rather than the results. Results wise it's about 9th best; performance wise it's timid and it's not going for it.

I've said often enough that if you dont go all out in every game in this league then you dont accumulate the points total required for a CL spot.

There's a conservatism away from home that isn't there at Goodison. He needs to roll the dice more on the road. Play two upfront against Swansea and at least go for it.

...we have progressed Dave but now we're talking about getting the next level. This time last season we were in free fall, now we're disappointed not getting a result at West Ham. The 'bottlers' stuffed City and Arsenal and fought like tigers at United. It's easy to take your stance and dismiss the team after a disappointing result, it's more difficult to see we are still moving in the right direction.
This time last season we had at least a shot at a trophy...that's something else that needs to change from this season, a cup run.

We would have the trophy in the cabinet too if the board had shown some balls and removed Martinez before the semi final

He got us there. End of.

..the home result against Leicester was a major disappointment. I agree.

Lads, this a match thread. Just saying.

We didn't win because we don't have an outball at the very top, meaning we are too often easily nullified if a side decides to shut up shop.

Today was exactly why Lukaku would be a flop at a giant club, because they play those games every week and rely on movement from the entire attacking unit to break teams down. We can't reliably play off Lukaku, meaning we can't reliably pick up form and thus consistent results.

It is also why we need to re-evaluate the approach to our squad in the summer, bring in a more technically gifted footballer with the brains to move and receive a ball and pull defenders out of position, because if we want to compete at the upper levels we need far more than just a goalscorer in that role.

If we keep Lukaku, fine, but we need that high quality plan B as a matter of urgency.
