Anyone who wants Barkley sold is being insane in my opinion.
He has good and bad games? Name a single player in the league that doesn't have patchy form. Sanchez was useless last night but you would all have him at Goodison in a heart-beat. Different teams look to manage Barkley in different ways every week and he has to adapt every time he runs over the white line. Sometimes it works; others it doesn't. Sometimes he is simply too emotional / pumped up (the derby) to play his own game efficiently and this shows in his out-of-character tackles.
The lad controls so many games, particularly at home, and doesn't get the credit he deserves for that. That ball for Lukaku's goal on Sunday was absolutely superb. There are only 5 players in the league with more assists but he needs to chip in with more goals. People say he sometimes slows things down but its absolutely critical he does on occasion. He's not perfect but he's one of our own and we should embrace the talent this young lad has because we would miss him in spades if he went.
I think he's a cracking player and hope he continues to develop his career at our great club.

I don't want him sold but if he doesn't sign a contract then we have to accept he will have to be sold.
It might just be a case that his agent has refused contract talks for now as he wants to see who we sign, no point in Ross signing a deal on £80k a week if in the summer we go and sign Rooney on £150k+ a week as he would want a similar wage. Same goes for Lukaku, if either are going to stay they won't sign a deal until they see who we bring in first. For that reason I am not going to worry as I have faith in Koeman. We will probably have to wait until August to know what is happening with both.

Sigurdsson is better, Banega from Inter, Jonathan Viera from Las Palmas, I'd even say Lanzini is marginally better. And that's just a few examples.
He's playing well ATM but he's nowhere close to being irreplaceable, our fans overrate him alot. Obviously it'd be better if he stayed because our squad overall is stronger with him in, but I wouldn't be arsed in the slightest if he left - we'd get a good £30-35m too. There's nowhere better for him to go anyway - none of the top 6 clubs want nor need him.
