Next season will be the same, Chelsea will run away with it, Man City will strengthen no end and surpass Spurs and Arsenal will have a major upheaval.

I really don't get this Spurs love-in, they're a good side, not a great side - made to look better than they are because the usual suspects are poor this season, just like Leicester last season.

Maybe he feels the weight of expectation at Everton is stopping him really reaching his potential a change of scenery could help.

As for people saying we have no chance next season etc etc... people were saying we had no chance of making top 4 this season before it started. We're used to it.

Maybe we are waiting to see if lukaku signs, because if not then barkley will be offered a contract as our top earner?

Or possibly because we know he will sign and it ends there

Agree with with a lot of what you are saying & I do think there will always be at least one team better than them but they are solid & but for a poor summer of recruitment last year may have pushed Chelsea a lot harder this year.

Be gobsmacked and seriously distraught if Barkley is in anything but an Everton jersey next season. Koeman has made it clear he will be off in the summer if deal isn't signed.

If he leaves it is his choice. Sounds like a contract is there to sign now or will be at the end of the season and if he doesn't then we simply have to get as much cash as we can for him. Hate it if he does go but not a lot we can do if he decides not to sign a deal.

I actually think he could be turned into a deeper midfielder, sort of like a Dembele type that can drive the ball through midfield and beat a man or two in those areas. He has excellent ball retention and close control.

Either way I suspect he will sign a new deal when push comes to shove, he's an Evertonian. Only way he may consider leaving is if he feels too much pressure from Everton fans.

We have an upcoming academy player that Pochettino has already likened to Messi when he was younger, and his hype among the fanbase is off the charts. I worry he may have a similar upcoming scenario where the hype is way too big before even growing into his football career.
