Everton FC's Farhad Moshiri BUYS the Royal Liver Building

Where's the connection with the Liver buildings?

Oh, nothing. Just another way for Snake Charmer to siphon money from the City and club. He's clearly not making any long-term plans, and he wouldn't risk his own skin in the game. Not him, not Farhad.

My point: Moshiri is billed as the game changer. He's not.

No, Dave, he's not changed the game one bit. Nobody is talking about the club. Nobody in the City, nobody in the media. He's making no progress on the stadium, and the squad is in dire shape. He's rent-seeking scum of the highest order.

All that's been done so far is a man has bought shares as an act of speculation. That speculation will pay off massively if the proposed stadium comes off...hence his loan to the club to knock down the biggest external financial obstacle to securing that objective.

The ignorance is all yours mate for believing we all bow and scrape because a businessman is shuffling resources around with the ultimate goal of making a huge profit in the future.

As said in my post, a by-product of his endeavours in that respect might be to our advantage. MIGHT be. It just as easily might turn to ashes and he leaves us no further forward than we are now....or worse.

A speculator, a charlatan, a snake-charmer. That's what this Moshiri lad is.

The last 6 months suggests we'll be struggling to break out of a best of the rest slot and that a cup is not in the pipeline. And Moshiri et al talk a good game on stadiums but we're still miles off anything happening.

Nothing happening on the stadium front, friend, don't worry your little head about this.

Funny that the incompetent manager has our PL points record and a trophy in the last few years on his cv, but the competent one won't get anywhere near that total and hasn't won a trophy for a decade.

On Moshiri: done nothing. What's he done other than hire one manager and fire another? Oooh, that must be a first for Everton eh?

Paid off the club debts...no mate, he's getting that cash back from the club. It's a debt to him now. Lol. Thinking cap on eh?

Modernised the structure of the club eh? Yeah, we saw that this week when he and his lap dog Elstone gagged the Shareholders Association. A new dawn. Zzzzzz.

Baines? Yeah, well done Bainesie. 300 games for the Kopite and hundreds more elsewhere...and he still hasn't won a sausage. Great stuff.

Give plaudits when they're deserved, not because the Echo tell you to.

I didn't know Baines was a kopite, glad to read that.

Halfway to completing the roof? There is no scheme in place yet.

I don't know, maybe you feel content with nothing from the club and a reliance on a ridiculous local politician and an architect who can't hold his own water tweeting away in the absence of anything substantial taking place.

As said, look at what happened.when Kenwright took over re a new stadium. KENWRIGHT. If Moshiri is slower out of the blocks than him then the alarm bells should be ringing loudly.

Less productive that Kenright, is Farhad?

I dont see how they wont. They'll use all the spin about 'close to the field of play' etc, but it'll be a new CoM/Etihad effort.

It's a betrayal of tradition and Moshiri shouldn't be indulged in it...he's supposed to have the cash and connections to dictate this isn't he?

Yes, Bramley Moore will be a dire, lifeless running track bowl. But at least we'll be able to exercise there mid-week.

Anderson is nothing. The local state is struggling. Moshiri holds none of the cards and the owners are a law unto themselves practically. If it gets done I'll eat my undies.

What flavor undies?

I think he's here for the stadium build and then sell up on the back of it.

If the stadium scheme starts dragging on, as per usual with us, he might well cut and run - and then that "£80M he put froward" will be called in pronto and then we're into a fireasale as per 2009.

A carpet bagging wool.

That's be a waste of time. It is what it is now and we can only hope that we have the right owner in place.

What we can say is that the honeymoon period is over and now Moshiri will be judged on squad investment, commercial deals and stadium progress....real stadium progress.

Yes, let's see real stadium progress, not LCC approval of the stadium. Not financing structures arranged for the stadium. Not an agreement to buy land for the stadium.

Brilliant, bravo.........

On a simple level I can't see why he would bother purchasing a stake in the building if he wasn't committed to the club and very confident on delivery for BMD.

It might well be something he would have to extricate himself from if the stadium went wrong but he is saying that he is here to stay.

I like Moshiri, he seems a doer and a fixer. Perhaps not at the pace we would all like but much of that seems to be outside his immediate control and dependent on more progress with the stadium.

He just needs to ensure that the summer is "managed" properly this time round and we will look in decent shape overall then with much to look forward to.

That took some effort and time, it's a well constructed argument and beautifully delivered

A clear home run

Bravo Sir

Booooooooom

Then don't read his posts. Actually I enjoy Dave winding everyone up, it keeps this place going, it would be a much poorer place without him.......
As i said i've blocked him on laptop, but having a quick glance through on my phone made me realise he's not out for debate or to play devils advocate, its him just finding fault in everything we do.

i genuinely think he'd rather us be stuck going backward if it was to suit his agenda.

To the neg heads on here, look at it the other way. If the RS had bought the Liver building we would be saying we're not bothered but in reality we would be secretly fuming. I would be grinding what teeth I had left in bitter annoyance. So if nothing else let's take satisfaction that this will wind them up good style...

To be fair, Moshiri could be planning to let it run down and demolish it so he can expand BM. Let's wait and see what his plans are.
