Everton FC's Farhad Moshiri BUYS the Royal Liver Building

So Pru, or more likely, their investment division, selling the place to Everton, sort of, is bad?

You would be proper fuming if FSG had got their mits on it mate.
But if it was FSD it'd be more chance of it being a football related PR stunt...as per their insistence on copyrighting the Liver Bird emblem.

This is just a straight personal Moshiri / Usmanov portfolio transaction.

I believe what Davek was implying that such an important and emblematic building for the city , should be in public and not private hands. Ideally he's right, but we don't live in an ideal world sadly, so I'm happy with Farhad , for now.

It's never been in 'public' hands.

Maybe the rental income from LCC etc will cover our rental to LCC etc !?

We take the 7th floor meaning we've have a presence in an iconic building on the Liverpool waterfront. It also means more space in the new stadium for money making from facilities such as bars or restaurants. With a prestigious address to add to a fantastic new stadium our profile improves and we look like a far more professional outfit to players, agents and anybody else we negotiate with. Photocalls for new signings and kit launches can take place in front of a world famous back drop. Great work Farhad. Progress off the pitch will lead to an improvement on the pitch. The long, dark night of Ken Billright is already starting to look like a bad dream.
