Ronald Koeman discussion

We might overreact but this is the biggest thing to ALL fans and there weren't many out there that gave us that.

Agreed. It's difficult to take pride out of many defeats, it just hurts more when it's them, and there's the accumulative effect of the poor annual record and watching multiple teams win there in between every season.

There's no right or wrong to the reaction, people take pride out of different things and I guess it comes down to how positive or negative your outlook tends to be.

But given the injuries to the 2 of our regular defence in just the last few days, a defence we all agree needs upgrading as soon as they can, and the introduction of some of our potentially best inexperienced prospects, I think they did well against a good attacking team at home. I take some pride out of that.

I hate them, and getting beat by them, as much as the next blue. But seriously, we've a chance to get 3 points against another local hated rival in 3 days time and if we do, that'd be 1 point more out of these two always than a lot of blues were hoping for.

I will honestly trade the indignity of repeated 4 zilch whippings at the pit for a place in the champions league every year. Just six points is all it is
Then why was your heart going at 22 to the dozen today you prick

They knew they would win the game as we were hoping to win the game, that is the biggest difference.

It's not easy to win there, it's difficult. It's less difficult though when your opponents have a terrible defence and you have the highest PL scorer.

It was our chance today. We had injuries yes, but to not even compete with them is woeful.

I agree with this totally, COYB!!

Sakho is a more formidable CB than the ones they have now and Milner was in midfield where he should be.

That is a telling difference.

Pretty sure you have described Sakho as a dog, a talentless galloot who falls over his own feet and Hull City/West Ham standard in the past mate... As for Milner he is playing left back as Moreno is utterly shocking

Were we hoping to win? I don't think so. I think we knew we didn't stand a chance and were hoping to escape with a draw. That's what we do there isn't it?

Probably, which just underlines how poor I think Matip and Lovren are.

Matip is actually quite decent mate, just injury prone and takes a whilst after each one to get back to speed, not a player you can build a defence around due to that, he is when fit/on form a very good cb tbf
