Ronald Koeman discussion

he keeps getting it wrong when it matters. looking more and more a flat track bully manager like moyes was.
I see it as he just doesn't believe in the players he's got yet to do it in the big games. This summer will tell us all what his and the clubs ambitions are.

I don't agree with Koeman's view of the game. How can he think we did well? I appreciate he wants to defend his players but they were awful.

At home we can do anyone (apart from Liverpool) Away from home, and it's been this way for so long now, we seem incapable of beating the better teams. Does my head in when I see Palace winning at Chelsea. We just seem incapable of doing that and have been for what seems like decades.

It's a deflection tactic, top managers have been doing it since god was a lad. He wants his words to be the focus not the players poor performances.

Our away form is garbage.

I am not sure that is Koeman's fault as there is clearly a problem the entire squad has with playing away from home. We have not had anything like a convincing performance and win outside of Goodison and that has to change asap.

I put it down to personnel.

Big spend needed in the summer.

Like City and Arsenal, yep massively wrong. Spurs and Chelsea, yes; today was a mixture of everything going wrong. Key players out, young players out of their depth and the others not showing up
the overall pattern of results is moyes-eque. even he got the occasional result against the big boys, and generally dealt with lower rated opposition very well.

What's interesting is after the Spurs game he reacted in a similar way by saying the character was great etc.

He keeps getting it wrong (although not always) when we meet teams that have spent vast amounts more money than us over a sustained period of time.

Can either blame that on the manager or say we need better players.

I'm going for option 2.
