That's exactly where we are.

It's a decent effort first season after the last two seasons. But WAY too many people have been bigging up this team and manager. Neither are at the races in terms of top quality.

I think he should have made changes at half time, Mirallas on for DCL (Mirallas should have started) and Pennington off as well. I've gone off on one a bit much given it's just one result in amongst a load of decent results recently, but I just detest those smug knobheads so much.

He knows this. Summer will be interesting to see who we bring in but I have no doubt we will have a better team come next season. Think its going to be a busy summer but don't know if it will be enough to encroach on the top 4 but will be closer. We cannot expect 11 in 11 out but nearer 4 or 5 good players in and the same out.

No issues with his selection today, injuries massively limited our options.

I actually don't think we lacked effort today, but we lacked quality under pressure. Liverpool are very good at pressuring into mistakes, and you need quality to get out of it.

All their goals were clinical finishes, but some of our defending from midfield and the back 3 was woeful. Gave their best players far too much space.

Our away form needs to be addressed.

The team selection was a joke today. Fine you can get it wrong sometimes but it took him ridiculous long to change it! Is he blind? Was easy to see the problems and he did nothing. Players must be doing miles better though.

I think RK got the personel wrong again in a big game.
However, 'good' experience for the younger players despite the performance and result.
The calibre of squad is mid-table at best.
We are 7th best team in the prem and it speaks volumes about those below us.
A long way from being a top 6 team, let alone top 4. Sadly.
