Ronald Koeman discussion

I suspect David went a step too far. Miscalculated. A rare mis-step. Take a break for a couple weeks and come back stronger with an assassination on the character of Baines or summat.

on topic....I'm not sure I would have been overly confident for this game even without the injuries. I don't see enough of a change under the new boss to suggest we have the cojones to win and win well in a game like this. However he shouldn't be judged overly harshly in his first season and definitely not when it comes to reversing this long horrible trend in away derbies.

It's precisely because it's on the eve of a derby that it's not bizarre. It's topical. I doubt Ronald Koeman is in the 19th hole right now swigging his Vodka and Orange and mumbling about someone on an Everton forum posting a link to his own Q&A session from 18 months back.

Look, Dave Watson was also a red and managed us on a caretaker basis. It happens.

Why didn't you mention it in December if it's topical ?

What!! you dont see a stronger defense, a rampant striker, a team that works twice as hard, 2 great ball winners in midfield, an on form Ross Barkley, a team top of the form table!!
Really?????

They aren't that good, we are the form team, we have Coleman, Mori and McCarthy out, only 1 of those was a definite starter, they have Lallana out who is one of their best players.

Wolves and Swansea have beaten them recently on the very same ground.

I am pretty sure our manager will not have the defeatist attitude that we have been beaten down with over the years on these visits to pinky castle, he is a class act and a winner. Nor will any of the players he has brought in or the young guns like Davies or Lookman.

Glad to see this thread is still a ball of positivity towards our manager, a manager who hasn't even been in the job 12 months

Hoofball merchant
Speaks the truth far too much
Achieved nothing as a manager
Has ruined Ross
Hasn't sorted out the defence

And now, a kopite!!

Anything else to ruin his credibility

The only thing that worries me is that they are a big game team and increase their work rate when the big boys come into town

I only saw it yesterday.

I thought it might be of interest, but apparently it should actually have been buried like radio-active material because the Kopites will laugh at us.

It's utterly RAWK cultish the reaction to the unearthing of our manager's own words from 18 months back.

I see change obviously. I just don't see enough of a change to have made me feel at any point this season that we have a team/manager that would be capable of going to that dump and winning or even outperforming them regardless of how good they are.

In short, we are still Everton. The new dawn aint here just yet.

Poor showing, we'll go and smash these flag waving, scarf loving, replica kit wearing inbred mutants everywhere

thinking it of interest is fine Dave. dumping it in the thread and shouting Kopite is another.

You could just admit you tried to wind up all the people who typically got wound up in the way you went about it.

you are now deflecting from that by pointing out the reaction.

We are well capable of beating them mate. We dont need to outperform them, we just need to win however that maybe!
