The noise makes you shudder i witnessed it once in 25 years of playing, a center half in a nothing challenge, he cleared the ball and the follow through hit the back of the legs of the other player resulting in his leg completely foooked!!

Quite right mate, i am sure the crowd noise was huge but the irish keeper at the other end of the pitch had his hands over his eyes, nobody on that pitch would have had no doubt what had just happened.

I havent seen the challenge only a picture on twitter of his leg, and reading whats been said on here.

Havent heard anything me
Been quoted on here as double fracture, Tibia and Fibula, but not sure where that has been sourced from. Also no word on whether it was a clean break or not which is probably more to the point.

I'm sure there will be a statement from the club after the operation, but I can't stop thinking about it. So gutted for the lad. I'm sure Everton will be fine and Holgate will slot in, but I just hope Seamus is able to come back from this.

Don't be suprised to see a picture of seamus on an exercise bike in around a months time. I remember seeing bryan's tweet after his operation and nearly falling off my chair. Physio's like to get the leg moving really quickly.
About 30 years ago I had a knee cap removed and was in hip to ankle plaster for 8 weeks. The pain when they had to get that joint moving again was phenomenal They offered painkillers but I wanted intravenous WD40. Once it's all set and on the mend, which is surprisingly quickly I would imagine they would want all the joints mobile asap

If someone can, he can

There was more public outcry after Barkley's tackle on Henderson in the derby. Anyone defending Taylor is culpable for the next one that happens, as that excellent Arseblog piece says.

Still feel sick over this one. It's always the good guys that cop stuff like this. I cross my fingers that he can be something close to the same player in royal blue, but more importantly I hope he can live a life uninhibited by the after-effects of the injury.

top physio just talking saying around 9 months to be back playing ,but phsycologically could take years to recover.
