Very sad news.

As with many, before my time - but a legend from my dad's time.

I've always loved the name "The Golden Vision." What a magnificent, classical title for a superb player.

The word 'Legend' simply does not cover what The Golden Vision meant to the fans back in the 1960s, he was imperious.

Fleet of foot, gracefulness personified and simply outstanding in the air.

He was more than a footballer, he was a true icon of what football meant to a whole generation.

Sad, sad, sad news.
RIP Alex Young - a superstar before the phrase was first coined, a Blue, a hero, a gentleman, and forever in our memories.
