Ross Barkley

We have had 20 years of mismanagement.
That is not Everton.
Pre Sky we where a pioneer of football, a constant winner and a team that competed.

Kenwright and the board lowered expectation so much that we reinvented ourselves as a plucky, penniless over achieving club.

We have an owner now who will hopefully restore the former.
It will take time to change perceptions. There are fans into their 20s who know no different, Ross Barkley for example. Hopefully we are on the right path now.

We have had many false dawns so I understand any fears and anxiety.

Hopefully we have a lot of positive news in the coming months and years.
Spot on !

That was beautiful. He's playing so well at the moment and needs a bit more trust from the fans. Loved that because it just proper piped all the groans down.
Honestly, think he did that because he was gassed. He ran out of steam today, but he was awesome for 70.

Just imagine this guy and Rom with another couple really good attacking options. It'd be something special.

Does he practice corners and free-kicks? they are so crap.

He underhits them, often failing to get past the first man, they lack pace and direction. In Williams and Mori we have good targets but they rarely get a chance to head the ball.

That seems to have been a problem for many years now! Even though the likes of Arteta and Baines had reputations for being set piece specialists, their set pieces were more often than not poor.

Haven't had a consistent set piece taker since Hinchcliffe IMO.

I think what has really helped Ross' game is the change in tactics, last couple of seasons he has been the player closest to Rom with our left winger effectively being another CM tucked in and only full backs bombing on. Now Davies is breaking from central mid and giving him options, Ross himself is slightly deeper he has players ahead of him quicker, not like that static slower build up of previous years.

Tbf, I think a virus swept our squad a few years back, damaged the deadball glands of even formerly great setpiece takers like Baines. Haven't had anyone who could get it over the first man since
