Ross Barkley

Thought it was funny today when we're breaking away and the ball came to Barkley who seemed to slow the breakaway down (Cue groans and fume from the crowd) only for Barkley to turn and play a boss pass into Mirallas who pulled his shot wide.
That one moment to me summed up the recent improvement in Ross. The Ross of earlier in the season would have attempted to 'force a pass' much earlier and probably lost possession. As it was he retained possession, drew players to him and slid a lovely through ball to miralles. I have banged on before about Ross watching someone like David silva and his decision making, Ross produced a 'David Silva' moment in that pass.

If all 3 come off it will be an amazing summer for us.

I think they will but Everton has hurt me too many times before not to worry.

We have had 20 years of mismanagement.
That is not Everton.
Pre Sky we where a pioneer of football, a constant winner and a team that competed.

Kenwright and the board lowered expectation so much that we reinvented ourselves as a plucky, penniless over achieving club.

We have an owner now who will hopefully restore the former.
It will take time to change perceptions. There are fans into their 20s who know no different, Ross Barkley for example. Hopefully we are on the right path now.

We have had many false dawns so I understand any fears and anxiety.

Hopefully we have a lot of positive news in the coming months and years.

Well said ;)

He shouldn't play for us from now, until he proves he deserves it. He's had a terrible 2016.

Sell ASAP.

Offers nothing.

I was annoyed with Valencia tonight, but now I think of it, at least he got on the ball and tried to make things happen. This fella is completely anonymous more often than not. If he has any value we should sell ASAP, if not get him signed up on a new contract and send him on loan.

Apart from 3-4 months at the start of last season he been average at best for 2 1/2 years. He's not kicked on, In my opinion he'll never get to anywhere near what was projected. No manager has ever really fancied him at any level, he definitely is missing something key, something that good players have.

Noticed that RK was shouting at RB today "move when you have the ball!" Seems he's trying to make him more mobile with and without the ball!

Totally agree mate, Ross has started to look really composed of late when he has the ball at his feet, looks like he's actually thinking about what he's going to do next.

That was beautiful. He's playing so well at the moment and needs a bit more trust from the fans. Loved that because it just proper piped all the groans down.
