In fairness to Geri he did more than one assist, I watched about 2 1/2 mins of a clip on him in that match and he seemed to have more touches than with us all season, not only moving the ball forward but defensively too just simply passing the ball back to the goalkeeper a couple of times. He's rarely going to tackle anybody but he certainly uped his work rate in that game. Talented players like him do blow hot and cold in their early years , the top ones settle into a more consistent playing style , sometimes they have to learn that lesson. An onfire Geri playing well but unable to get into our starting team because we're so good would do me, coming on as a sub to rip apart a tiring defence.

Yes, but it always seems to be tomorrow mate.

He was heavily involved in Milan's attacking play on Sunday but couldn't really deliver - he did hit the post (from close-range) but most of his crosses were awful.

Glad to see he played well yesterday.

Wing is the most grueling position to play on the pitch, as you are most susceptible to the cheap shot fouls and you do the most full sprinting on the pitch. The biggest thing holding Geri back is his fitness (and attitude). He fixes those, and I see him fulfilling some of that potential we are still waiting to see.

He has the respiratory function of a 40-a-day asthmatic.

He reminds me of Bily.

He has moments of absolute brilliance, but when he isnt doing the brilliant stuff then he is next to useless.

You cant get by at the top level like that.

Montella disagrees with you...according to him when it mattered he stepped up against odds and were praised that he never gave up. The fans in turn said Deulofeu's determination was amazing and that he never gave up and was always a threat...even at 2 men down and one injured making it effectively 8.5 against 11. Full strength yes it supposed to be an easy game...yet with 2 sent offs and one Milan player injured (no subs left) and not giving up is imo a great game from Milan.

im talking doing well when the tackles are hard and the oppo are class. Bologna are poor, the games he's done well for us have been against poor opposition.

I thought this would be interesting....its translated via google though. There is also a 2nd link I saw from an english source below.

Gerard Deulofeu, the best rated player in AC Milan's history

Gerard Deulofeu has started well at AC Milan. He joins as the joint best player, physically, in the club's history. Gazzetta dello Sport revealed that the physical tests he passed at Milan on his loan from Everton match up to those of Thiago Silva, Kaka and Serginho. These three players are level with Deulofeu, according to MilanLab results.

He is one of the fastest players in the world and his speed is backed by his strength and resistance, which puts him at the head of the list of players that have played for Milan. Coach Vincenzo Montella is convinced by him and is considering using him as a false nine.
