Gerard Deulofeu

If he comes back, we could employ him to wave at the crowd on those cold nights. He has a great wave.
If? You mean when !!!

We made a massive mistake sending him in loan, you do that the side has a few months to order work him out, can't believe we couldn't just find a buyer, if we did for Oviedo and Gibson there had to be out there for Del.

We won't struggle to sell him. People have gone way overboard when slating him. He's not perfect but a lot of teams would love to have him.

...I admit to liking Deulofeu, I thought he was terrific for a time when he truly had a very good assists record. I accept, though, that he's failed to grasp his opportunity with Koeman and has been very disappointing. I was wary of the loan deal to Milan, I get the impression the Italians were only after a lift for their supporters.

Boro were apparently keen but perhaps we were happier bringing revenue in the summer. Anyway, I thought he was decent for a spell.

Hard for me to disagree with the above, says what I think. When Del came he gave us a lift, had pedigree in his football education and lit the place up with his enthusiasm and profound love for all things Blue. Was it Stevenage at home he scored his first goal and I was convinced we were on to a winner...just needed time I thought. When he came on at home in the Derby - he was unplayable - but Jesus, should he have scored when he went clean through. Sign of things to come perhaps, but I thought he was special. Came on at half time with Ross against Barnsley when we were struggling, again he was unplayable....free kick at the Madjeski to remind us how good, followed up again at the Riverside. The lad was on fire if unpredictable.

Then the semi at City away, missed a one on one early in second half. His head went, wouldn't track back to get onside and the other players got on to him...trudged up the sideline, threw his arms about and got subbed. All the talent in the world, maybe too much, especially when it doesn't match the effort of those with less skill but more determination. Really nice bloke, a crowd pleaser, but in my opinion never convinced regularly on the biggest occasion. I may be wrong but doesn't seem to fit RKs demands moving forward but the fact we never agreed a fee suggests the ball is firmly in Geri's court. Hope he takes it.
