in memoriam - 1965-2024
Albeit it is a real challenge but it is not impossible. The team just keeps on doing the same thing then there will be a chance.
Thats all you can do isnt it?

48 points to play for hk mateThere are still 16 league games to play for this season. Koeman has a harder job to do with the Sky 6 turning up this season.
If you compare the doss and crap results in the last 2 seasons then we are making significant progress.

Just need a good run from now on...the team have made amendment recently, results are coming.
The fact that the likes of Southampton, Stoke, Leicester and West Ham all looked miles ahead of us last season are all 8 points+ behind us tells me RK has done a good job.
For me get a top quality partner up top for Rom and a solid CB in before the window shuts and providing we stick to this 3-5-2 I can seriously see us challenging Utd for 6th place. Providing the top 6 win both cups this season I think Europe is all but guaranteed for 7th.

To be fair, its also a far cry from last season as well.
There just seems to be a bounce in the side these last few weeks. Whether thats the Tom Davies effect, (I doubt), Rom being in beast mode, or just a step change in attitude, application, and fitness, no idea.
But liking this Everton. Mean, snidey, playing some good stuff, while not rolling over.
Top 4? Depends on a few others imploding. Scared of playing anyone? Not even a little bit.
Totally agree both, it's definitely an improvement on the majority of the last two seasons. There are still 16 league games to play for this season. Koeman has a harder job to do with the Sky 6 turning up this season.

think you're a bit confused about who is doing the baiting here fella.Lads, if you have an issue with a certain poster just stick him on ignore instead of trying to bait him. It's like a gang culture all taking pot shots at him.
Let's get back to talking about Koeman please.
Aye. Starting to raise eyebrows in the media over here too. Just a few, well placed folk, making comments along those lines.
Totally agree both, it's definitely an improvement on the majority of the last two seasons.
I think top 4 is fanciful but I agree, we should aim high. I think 7th is about as much as we can go for and I think Koeman is both responsible positively and to blame constructively. All teams go through peaks and troughs but the manner in which we played earlier in the season was a recipe for disaster. He needs to take responsibility for that. Instead, he seemed to blame everyone else.
Now though, we get the ball down and play. That's all personally I want from Everton: to get the ball down and play. It's unrealistic to think we can get higher than 4th in a one off season with the sides ahead of. Leicester was a miracle.
Let's hope we see steady progression rather than promise turning sour like we had under my beloved Roberto!

Dave serious questions, please answer honestly we all know you don't like Koeman.
Do you think EFC have progressed under Koeman since he took over? No. We have stopped the rot.
When would you be won over by Koeman if ever? If so what would he have to do to make you change your mind?
How long should he be given to prove himself before getting the sack?
What players would you want him to get between now and the end of January?

No. We have stopped the rot. Discipline is back, but we are largely turd as a football outfit - or have been until these very recent weeks.

Win a cup or get us 5th after giving those above us an almighty fright.
How long should he be given to prove himself before getting the sack?
My opinion on this has never wavered: free pass this season whatever happened. Next season - if need be - he's there to be shot at...if it's atrocious and we're struggling he'd have to go. Anthwere from 8th upwards he'd keep his job. Third season - sacked unless a cup was delivered or top 4/5.
What players would you want him to get between now and the end of January?
Again, Ive never wavered on this either: we should just have got Sigurdsson in, no one else. I believe we paid well over the odds for a player we didn't need in Schneiderlin.
