Barcelona have wrecked football and placed horrible ideals in people's head of how teams need to play to win. Never seen so many titles won by United playing 4-4-2 with quick counters, lots of crosses and decent strikers.

Exactly. He has to be successful with Everton to be able to move on to 'better'...what I am saying is that his next move may be a move too far for him. He certainly hasn't done anything managerially yet that would interest the likes of Barcelona, and even if he did ever in the future get a justifiable move that far up the ladder, he may not have the specific skill to perform successfully at that level. Everton(or equal?) may be the best he can maintain with success.

Dont confuse that with direct football.

No chance.

I've no problem him telling the likes of niasse and mcGeady they are not wanted here and find new clubs, but surely it is the best practise to utilise what you have at present before reinforcements are on the way (e.g. January window). Any workforce is going to be demotivated if they knew they were going to be replaced. Some would say this is exactly what the club needs, maybe koeman has upset the squad and as a result certain players form has been affected. If he gets the right players in now, there can be no excuses and I'm delighted with the start of the window business.

The mid 80s team was the perfect example of how to vary styles to become unstoppable. Predictability is the enemy. They could play through teams on the deck, they could go wide and cross it in, they could flick on long balls, they could out scrap teams or out play them. Neat passing football is just as poor as route one long ball if it is as predictable and easy to defend against. Koeman needs to usher in a varied style, I believe we've seen some glimpses of it but we need to start seeing it a lot more. Hopefully more player additions will allow him to do this.

You can imagine after each bottling spineless performance some of those wasters put out he was just sat there thinking 'January, you're gone son'.

Koeman's a good manager. Not a fantastic one but he's a bit more than just decent.

But if he goes...well, Eddie Howe, The Blue One, is doing pretty well in the league with a squad with great british influence.

Eddie Howe would be a terrible choice for any club with ambition.

I reckon there's a bit of "there's a lot of Everton players are available to buy" hoping to attract other clubs to make offers for the dead wood in his comment.

I wouldn't mind Eddie Howe. If we spend over £50m in the January window, most fans would demand £100m and Diego Simeone in the summer.
