Im not an Everton supporter, but when i heard about this transfer news, as an French/Algerian, i thought it would be useful to give some details about this player that i know quite well.

I saw a lot of a people comparing him to Graziano Pellé, maybe because of his heading ability ? He's more an 9,5 than an number 9, i think you've all noticed by looking his stats in wikipedia but if you see the amount of goals he scored the last two years, there's a huge difference compared to his Parma, Livorno and Inter's stats, and this can be justified in 2 points :

His position, and his game time.

2013 to 2015, Belfodil was more a sub than anything else. But there's something that no one noticed : He was used as a winger most of the time: (Only found this comp)

Belfodil is a very technical player, maybe a little bit selfish sometimes but he know when to pass, i've searched for you an exemple of how he perform this season :

In my opinion, he can flop like he can be a bargain, It all depends on how the club will manage him, and how he will manage himself.

Il y a des signes qui ne trompent pas. Même si Ishak Belfodil a participé aux deux séances ce mercredi, même si il a chassé la balle au milieu du Toro tel un jeune premier, même si devant le but il a été le plus adroit, il est déjà parti à Everton.

Et avec lui, l'ambition - pour tout un club - de s'ancrer pour de bon dans le top 6. Rien n'est fait, même si au loin, on a cru reconnaître l'agent de Belfodil... 12 millions d'euros, c'est énorme pour un garçon venu gratis en septembre.

Alexandar Jankovic, entraîneur du Standard : "On est fier de lui. De son parcours ici. C'est un professionnel exemplaire. On va se servir de son exemple pour booster le groupe. Il n'est pas encore parti, mais bon... En tout cas, on ne va pas pleurer." Ce n'est effectivement pas le style de Jankovic.

Eric Deflandre, son adjoint, adhère au propos : "Ishak a toujours été exemplaire ici. Un joueur comme ça, tu veux toujours lui faire plaisir... S'il peut aller dans un grand championnat, on ne pourra pas le bloquer."

They are pretty gutted to see him go but can't stand in his way and is a no brainer to get such a fee for a lad they got for nothing in September. Coach putting brave face on it.
