Who else could he play tho? The squad is garbage. He needs schnieiderlin now as we have lost gana. He also wants another defender now but our board have been garbage in the windows for years and Koeman reputation is on the line while the board dither. Leicester got a new player in and played him yesterday. But we were winning and the players mentality and attitude lost us the game again.
I agree with you mate.

I just think the initial starting formation was wrong.

Yes, which is why Martinez had to go, remember? He had to go because the group of players we had were being wasted by thay previous manager. Isn't that what the majority view was just 8 months ago or so?
Made the same point a while ago, I don't think this is all down to the players and the manager has to accept the major responsibility for what we've witnessed. Yes the squad's a year older and some players are looking worse for wear (Jagielka and Barry), but we should be playing a hell of a lot better. The football has been pretty poor.

Possibly, I honestly don't know anymore

I look at some of that squad and I'm convinced we should be playing better football

When push high up and utilise lukakus strength and play off him then we do play some good stuff and the signs are there.

But they keep dropping deep and then there's a massive void between the team and rom, he hasn't got the ability to hold it up and it comes back.

Barry is the issue but, we had no other decent option yesterday.

Anyone questioning why we're off for Schneiderlin is deluded if they think we're gonna do anything with Barry starting games.

His role now has to be coming on in the final 10 minutes, or going off after 55/60 in the odd game he does start.

(I'm not entirely blaming Barry btw, but it's just an example in a key area of the pitch).

4-4-2 - how we ended the last game we won 3-0?

We were well on top in the first half. As usual we didn't capitalise and, when we finally did score, the players ALL fell asleep for 5 minutes.
We were playing three at the back, with wingbacks in Coleman and Baines. It didn't work.

Yes we were on top, but I never felt like we were going to score in the first half.

We were much better when Deulofeu came on and then as usual we collapse, like the cowards they are.

If it was just down to the manger who can build a winning team from garbage then we would have the likes of West brom and hull at the top of the league, instead it teams with quality players. Most of our players are crap and don't care.

I'm being told these players are the problem, but last season and the beginning of this season they weren't the problem at all were they? Now because Koe-moan can't get his act together some of his apologists are telling us that it IS the players to blame.

Sorry, not having that.

I'm pretty sure everyone said last season " A decent manager would have this squad of players challenging for a top four finish "

Roll on a year and they now turn on the players, you couldn't make it up.

Koeman deserves time but he is not winning me over at the minute.

I know it was supposed to be 3 at the back with wing backs but from where I was watching it was deffo more 4-4-2 with Holgate right back and Coleman right wing because a lot of the time Holgate was pushed right up like you would expect a full back to be when bombing on. Not once did I see him close to Williams and Mori like you usually would with a back 3.

That's why 1st half I thought it was just a complete waste of a position because Coleman would get into good positions but can't cross ( and by the looks of it neither can Holgate lol ) and a more conventional winger would have been much better

We looked absolutely toothless first half.

Weve improved from last season but there is only so much he can do with this team.

Needs a clear out and support by bringing In His TOP targets not his second or third choices.

If Koeman and Walsh aren't being allowed to get who they want this transfer window they should just walk because what's the effing point?!

In fact what's the pint in having a manager at all?! Just get another yes man in.

When the team was announced I thought it was a back three and wing backs, but it was definitely a back four.
Holgate played as right back and Coleman was playing in front of him.

You sure Holgate was playing right of the three
