I think Scheiderlin was always a 1st choice, not sure on Depay however he has been linked as long as Schneiderlin has.

Yes....both well down the pecking order at Manu , so both are defo not 1st choice.

Can see schneiderlin signed on a permanent but it would be madness to buy depay on a permanent. There is obviously a talented player in there, but whereas Morgan has shown proven quality in the premiership, depay hasn't. A loan with an option to buy is the preferred option, but I think united just warn depay off their books (a bit like mario at Liverpool) and will be prepared to take a significant loss if he could be sold.

Agree, especially if his wages are true (90k). You would be bringing him in and hed be your highest earner (until Rom signs a new deal). Definitely not worth taking all of the risk with someone who hasnt played in months and doesnt look to be getting any meaningful game time soon.
