Kenwright...

Love of football ...
Bill Kenwright on the search for Farhad Moshiri.

It was a long, long search in which many, many people came forward. 18 months ago, maybe longer, Farhad came to see me. I felt, instantly. This was a man who could get us out of the problem times where we had to plead at the bank every week. His love of football, not just Everton, was astonishing. Knew more about football than anyone I’ve ever met.

I thought the Esk said they were announcing the stadium. Wrong again it looks.

Tbf he didnt.
He said he expected an announcement on securing planning permission.

It will be what it will be.

In my eyes, theyre right to be cautious. Imagine announcing a stadium only to it fail for a FOURTH time.

They wont announce anything till its signed, sealed and delivered.

I assume we'll have a new shirt sponsor? Can't see Chang agreeing to close to triple their outlay overnight, aside from what we'll get with sleeve sponsorship.

Can't wait to bin them off, not been a good deal for the club and we were tied way too long to them.

Agree, [Poor language removed] pint too.

Somebody able to sum up the meeting?

Seen a lot about commercial?

Obvs no stadium announcement. Wasn't expecting it, tbh, but slightly disappointed not to be pleasantly surprised...

Naming rights at FF, and some patch on the shirt will bring in a 300% increase in dosh.

Season tickets lowered/frozen. New age bracket, 22 to 24 introduced like the youngsters one.

Wage bill projected to be increased by 1/2 Million a WEEK.

Not particularly fussed about the window dressing - The lack of any definite stadium news is hugely disappointing
I always reckoned that any stadium announcement would be too important to be included in a multi topic setting such as tonights.
Something as big as this needs it's own stage.

Could mean ordinary staff too not just players.. so I'd be slightly cautious... but still good!!
