we have to play two players there now when he played that defensive midfield role solo a great signing by Walter although DM changed his role of an attacking midfielder!

All the above postings are good shouts, Campbell basically saved us single handed from relegation,Gravesen for some period was the only one we had with vision and flair and used to get pelters when things didn't come off and Weir simply for his reliability and longevity.

Carsley was a terrific grafter whose work in the main went unnoticed but he was sadly missed for some time after he left.

Olivier Dacourt was a cracking player who seemed to get us.... Also seemed to get booked every game. A bright light in a sea of mediocrity (mediocrity being polite)

Close call between Weir and Campbell because Weir was a superb signing for 500k but Campbell wins the day for slotting goals that basically kept us up. Great centre forward was KC and I think will always be held in high Esteem of all Evertonians
