I'm like you. I pine for a bit of flash and flair at Goodison. I liked having Limpar. He could play. Kanchelskis excited for the 5 minutes he was here. Way back Duncan MacKenzie was around when I was a little kid. I can't remember Alex Young but everyone says he was fabulous when the mood took him.

We are no longer the School of Science. We are now mere lower class roundheads. The Dogs of War. So far have the once mighty fallen.

This reality had only started dawning on me this past few months, rbm.

Even in our darkest days of the 90s I never stopped believing we would soon be back among the elite.

Moyes came very close on a number of occasions.....Bobby almost did it in his first season.

But now I look at that league table and could weep as a "Super Six" is leaving Everton trailing far behind and IMO the gap is becoming unbridgeable in the near to middling future.

And now we are in a transfer tug of war with our biggest rivals for the 7th Place Trophy....Baggies.

For a Manchester United reserve player :(

Is this to be the new normal :coffee:

Its sadly what happens when you appoint clowns.

But ok, we have a good manager now, try and give him longer than 6months.

let's see how the RS cope again next season when they're back in europe, because they haven't coped well this decade; also worth pointing out that if klopp left they'd be back down to 7th/8th, so i wouldn't say the gap is unbridegable. Chelsea were mid-table last season, city always go on horrific runs, arsenal look crap for about a 3rd of a season, united are starting to click now, but are hardly special. Two good transfer windows in a row and we can easily claw them back imo.

I think you are happier when you are pretending to have me on ignore.

That way you have an excuse for not making silly posts in response to me.

I'm just sayin' is all......
