The best team normally wins the league. First half of the season that has undoubtedly been Chelsea, I'd argue Arsenal have played better than them too. They've been fortunate to take 3 points in games they've not always deserved to but haven't been punished too much by bad luck when playing well. The Swansea header last minute comes to mind, Funes Mori missing, Allen's miss for Stoke. They could very easily be getting the pitchforks out for Klopp now had luck gone the other way, it's not as though they are winning 13 on a row barely conceding looking imperious like Chelsea are. If they kick on after January and makntain top form for the rest of the season then fair enough but if they just try and scrape it by riding their luck, hoping teams miss big chances against them, relying on their generous penalty count, or Coutinho to hit 30 yarders, then there'll always be another Bournemouth or Palace game that catches them out. If they want to win it they've got to show they're the best and I'm not sure they're showing that at the moment. Even though they won all three games (which deserves credit of course) there were large periods against us Stoke and City, three poor sides, when they were being convincingly outplayed.
Earlier in the season they were ateamrollering teams but now it feels they're hanging on a bit. At least that's what I'm hoping anyway!
