All irrelevant to the fact that we are the seventh best team at the halfway point.
To be fair, while obviously we are the 7th best team in the league, I think the point is that we're quite lucky that outside the top 6, every team has been utter pish this season.
I've got no problem with that as it takes some pressure off during what is a very transitional season for us. We are very lucky though.

All managers make selections that on occasion baffle us supporters it's their call and why they manage and we spectate and grumble. On the whole though, I am happy with our position at the midway stage. No manager is above criticism,but so far he has taken a mis-matched , mediocre, train wreck of a side and managed them to 7th place, not bad for the first 6 moths I reckon. Let's see what the rest of the season holds for us.

I'm not being funny but how do they emerge ahead of Deulofeu. He has a 1 in 2 strike rate for spain u21s and when played consistently is brilliant every time he has had a run in the team.
Makes no sense and koeman is a nincompoop. If Deulofeu played consistently he would be a top player as shown many times.
10-15 points imo.
A few quality additions in Jan however, and i think it'll be a lot smaller.
Realistically, this season was all about getting top 7/8.
Seventh is still on. We just need a few additions to ensure that, and hopefully string a good cup run together.

Spain U21 is totally different mate. Plus he plays atrocious all game everytime he plays for them. His nickname over in Spain is Gerard 'Chupon' Deulofeu. Chupon means 'doesn't pass'
He's talented mate. He should be up there with one of the best but he's showing no signs of that whatsoever. I'm struggling to see what he's improved since his debut for Barca B. Finishing "best of the rest" now is not going to mean what it meant even two or three years ago.
7th has become the new 5th.
I have this awful feeling we are in the Last Chance Saloon right now.
If we do not make significant progress both on and off the field over the next couple of years then the gap between this group of six clubs and the rest will become unbridgeable for a generation.
And Everton will remain in the ha'penny place in perpetuity

Deulofeu should be first choice on RW Mirallas should be cover. Lennon should be moved on and replaced with left footed winger who can give us balance on LW. He needs to play games regular to get a rhythm going.
