What is improvement?

If we can't get a top 7 finish this season then I would be bitterly disappointed. For all our flaws, we're competing for 7th against the likes of Southampton and West Brom. Their teams have few top quality players in them, in fact I wouldn't say West Brom have any in theirs, although what they do have is a well organised team, who fight for their teammates, with a manager who knows how to grind out results.

We need to get back in to the top 7 and build from there in the summer in my opinion. It will be much easier to sell the ambition of the club from that position, with the initial stadium announcement hopefully having also been made by then.

At this moment in time though with 2 wins in 12, and some of the worst football i've seen in the last 15 years, I can't see us coming 7th. The January transfer window is crucial. We aren't adrift at this point and should be capable of 4 points from 6 in our next 2 games.

Kante left the Premier league champions for a club that finished lower midtable last season.
No two situations are the same, granted, but Chelsea clearly were suffering a blip, and threw fat stacks around to resolve it, and lo, they have.

Everton, meanwhile, flounder around mid table, and anything lower would signal a worrying decline as opposed to an insignificant blip.

Finish 15th and we'll never get the players we need. Finish 5th, and we certainly might get them.

Old Degsy is on the ropes......finish him

What difference does it really make? Chelsea finished lower midtable last season.

We need a strategy, and we need to throw lots of cash at proper players.

We have more cash than the likes of West Brom yet you wouldn't think it when you look at our transfer targets.

Players want to win trophies and earn lots of money. Let's try and provide both.
Thought they had been taken over by some loaded Chineasean?

I personally don't care where we finish as long as we aren't relegated.

The proviso is that I want to see improvement in just about every aspect on the pitch. Because EVERYTHING looks GOD awful at the moment.

Where do you expect us to finish this season?

And what constitutes an improvement from the dark days under Moyes and Martinez?

For me it's not about the league finish, it means nothing. We won't finish in the top 4 and the Europa League is a hinderance.

It's ALL about the FA Cup. We need to win it so we can build on that and move forward.
DARK DAYS UNDER MOYES??? you must be in your early 20's........
Because of that uneducated comment I stopped reading the rest of your post.
