Heitinga

I'd like to think both player and manager should share the responsibility.
Pushing the blame solely on Yobo is selective scapegoating.

No more selective scapegoating than the "moyes out" knobheads.

And Moyes isn't on the pitch doing the hoofing and the hoofing doesn't happen when Heitinga's in there as much.

Yobo is though and Yobo does it without thinking about what he's doing.

Base on your argument, whatever improvement we see on the pitch from Osman and Fellaini had nothing to do with Moyes. It's a team game mate. The manager influence his team and the way they play.

MBIB, the point I was making on your FB page is the players were dire. Yobo was perhaps the worst on the pitch, but definitely the worst at the back.

Heitinga is by far a better player, and I was a happy chap when he signed. He has been stellar for us, and I too am a believer in the Jags, Heitinga back pairing. I see amazing things in that.

However, due to the form of the other players, Yobo has been kept rightfully out of the side, but the way he was forced into this position is not ideal and a terrible night to make his first start in how long? Everyone knows exactly how Yobo plays, what he does with the ball when he receives it....he has been doing it since we got him. I am just trying to make the point you have to play with what you have, and the tactics should have been adjusted to reflect that.

The players deserved a bollocking and probably some for of remediation, but Moyes, as the leader of the team takes the responsibilities for the players failures, as he is ultimately responsible.

Moyes is a gem, I am happy we have him as a manager, he learns from mistakes and we are going to come out of this season in a much stronger position than going in, due to Moyes. He gets the kudos for doing well, he gets the criticism for not doing well, that is what I am saying.

Cool Dylan. b)

I agree. But some of the articles written, I'm sure you'll know which ones (y) only post when we lose and as such they're just moaning bastards. And I hate them as they always go OTT - trying to be the cleverest one to have a go. Its not big and its not clever though.

The thing with Everton is that we can't change things quickly in terms of signings.

The way the club is setup its just something we can't do.

Hence when you say about Kudos - I believe that Heitinga is part of a change.

He certainly wasn't a like for like change last summer...

I dunno. I couldn't make Lisbon due to work.

But I sat there thinking about Yobo, that he was one of the main causes of us playing into Sporting's hands.

And Moyes trying to change things...? I just don't think Yobo listens or knows himself how to change his game.

Especially in Europe.

Heitinga makes us unpredictable and adaptable at least as he's what I'd term an "intelligent player" b)

Great post, agree 100% about the articles on other sites, stopped reading them after voicing my opinion and getting banned:@, I think johnny H is going to be a legend just waiting for him to snap somebody in half in a tackle to fully endear me to him.(y)
