MBIB, the point I was making on your FB page is the players were dire. Yobo was perhaps the worst on the pitch, but definitely the worst at the back.
Heitinga is by far a better player, and I was a happy chap when he signed. He has been stellar for us, and I too am a believer in the Jags, Heitinga back pairing. I see amazing things in that.
However, due to the form of the other players, Yobo has been kept rightfully out of the side, but the way he was forced into this position is not ideal and a terrible night to make his first start in how long? Everyone knows exactly how Yobo plays, what he does with the ball when he receives it....he has been doing it since we got him. I am just trying to make the point you have to play with what you have, and the tactics should have been adjusted to reflect that.
The players deserved a bollocking and probably some for of remediation, but Moyes, as the leader of the team takes the responsibilities for the players failures, as he is ultimately responsible.
Moyes is a gem, I am happy we have him as a manager, he learns from mistakes and we are going to come out of this season in a much stronger position than going in, due to Moyes. He gets the kudos for doing well, he gets the criticism for not doing well, that is what I am saying.
