Nah, they always go for the potential 'giant killing' ones.

No arguments here. Would have been more surprised if we were on tbh.

Unbelievably our game against champions Leicester is NOT one of the SIX live games on BBC and BT Sport. They seem to think that the RS v Plymouth/Newport is more of a contest and the non entity of Cambridge v Leeds is higher profile than our game. The other four I can't argue with Spurs v Villa, West Ham v City, Preston v Arsenal and Man utd v Reading.

Putting the RS on at home to a lower division team is nowt short of scandalous.

I would also argue that showing United at home against a Championship side is also a poor choice.

TV stations want the Neutral to watch, and would consider there being more attraction to watching a potential 5-6 nil, or even better a giant killing, than there is a 1-0 either way bore fest.

Mid table Everton vs woeful Leicester.

Nah can't imagine why we're not on TV.

I'm glad we're not on TV as I will be at Goodison, but on the other hand it's "the Champions" against a side 8th in the top flight. Only the West Ham v Man City game has both teams higher placed combined than Everton v Leicester in the whole round.

Some of the other teams picked are more woeful than us and Leicester.

To be honest, there is nowt so boring for a neutral as a game which does finish 5-6 nil......one loses interest after the third goes in, especially if a minnow in on the receiving end as there is no way back.

Leastways that's how it is for me when I am watching a game as a neutral.

I can understand the potential giantkilling aspect all right.....and if Newport or that other team were at home to the RS then it would be just the type of tie the Cup is all about.

But not at the Pit....the game could be over by twenty minutes and the neutrals will be switching off in their droves.

I will be going, but my gripe is why Everton are so low profile these days with the media.I mean the RS will put the youths out v Plymouth/Newport and who gives a damn about Cambridge/Leeds ?
Weren't we live v Southampton w/e before last, Man Unt last Sunday, Watford this Saturday and the other lot the following w/e? Not exactly low profile.
