So you want me to judge the season on a future that hasnt happened.

The facts are simple :

Unbeaten at home
Conceded only more than 1 goal each game in 3 of the 15 matches played this season
Currently sitting in 8th place, 1 point off 6th place

Very much on course to occupy the seasons goal of getting Europa League, either by our league placing or from winning the FA Cup, which we will win in May, cos if you can predict the future, so can I.

I think I developed that bolded point in parenthesis after it! No, we are most definitely not in the shape we need to be.

Just look at the trend, look at the shambolic lurching from game to game, look at how in one weekend of football we can fall from 8th to 12th because the dross around us are compressed into their own mini-mediocre league.

Look mate I agree with some of your points about Koeman!
We are not playing a brand of football I want or expected
He doesn't look enthuastic about his position as our manager
I hate the fact he doesn't get out his seat in the dugout during the game (I love the Pep, Klopp, Pochettino style)
But you cannot class him as failure until he has been given the time to succeed.
14 games played, we are unbeaten at home in the league
Joint 7th in the league with a crop of players, some not worthy to wear the blue shirt
We are part of the 'mediocre' league weather we like it or not, we have been for decades and it wont take 14 games to get us out of it.

I only want to talk about facts.

Ive left Goodison this season so far being dissapointed mainly, the Norwich game apart, which is different than leaving downright angry after defeat after defeat watching Distin and Jags play pass the ball for 80minutes.

Give me this football over the utter dross ive witnessed for the last 2 years.

Mate when Martinez won 4 at home in one season you seemed have no problem with it? Better judge him in May.

I think you might have neglected to note the fact that Koeman is here (apparently) to ensure we get European football and that he replaced Martinez for that very reason...and he gets paid twice as much as his predecessor.

Eh? What's that got to do with the way you're interpreting the league? Are you saying European football wasn't expected under Martinez?

If so, why did you constantly reference how many points we were off certain positions during his tenure?

City will win the FA Cup.

That opens up 8th for a Europa League place, the place we currently occupy.
