Ronald Koeman discussion

He's got the movement of a Redwood Tree, the turning ability of an ocean liner. I play with astro lads who hang out by the goal and toe poke balls into the net, we need someone who sees openings, drags defenders out of play, holds the ball up and can wait instead of jumping 6 seconds to early for a header, you know, like a footballer does

But, what about all those goals scored before the age of 23 stats ive seen?

I guess we have a different idea of downing tools, McCarthy has been the same as he always is, limited, Geri needs a lung transplant and Kev just seems to have stopped being a footballer.

Limited players can still look bothered and try. I'd call players like Shane Long and Steven David 'limited footballers', but they still had some of their best years under Koeman because they worked their socks off for him. There's been none of that from McCarthy: sulked at WBA when he was garbage and rightly hooked before half time, then couldn't have looked more disinterested last week. The guy wants out and I wouldn't stand in his way for a minute.

Dont get me wrong like, the lad came in and did a great job, he looks a player, but he isnt a RB and hes nowhere near as good as Coleman.

For sure. There's a prevailing trend among ourselves and other fans to rush straight for the "youth" button as soon as things start going cack. I honestly thing it has to do with the likes of FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer

But why play an inferior youth player when you have an experienced player to pick instead?

Davies isnt better than The Clev, in fact I think they are very similar players, tidy on the ball, high energy, about as creative as a sponge.

Holgate is a CB, hes not a Coleman replacement, he only got Motm from Everton, no other publication in the world gave him Motm.

gary neville was a cb too at the same age.

The 3 Queens turned quicker in the Mersey than lukaku does during a game
