Ronald Koeman discussion

Doubt it will happen pal. Sorry.

Dunno mate, out pof choice i don't think so either, but with United next up at Goodison he may decide to try do something to get the crowd behind us from the start - which playing a couple of the younger lads would do, wouldnt shock to see Barkley being dropped for Davies actually - and go for the hard to break down style

Martinez got it to 12th and Koeman bought it more players to strengthen the team. Does that mean that Martinez was getting the team to play above it's ability? We both know that's not true. The squad is better than last year, the teams in the league are arguably worse, yet I'd be surprised to see us finish 12th this year.

Agree mate, it shows how piss poor the prem league is when we continue to sit in 7th place even though we've only won 1 league game in the last 8, a paltry 6 pts from 24.

It's time to get the youth players in against Man Utd now, what have we got to lose?

This current Xl are terrible. I think they're genuinely hated by Evertonians. I for one can't stand them. Their lack of Everton is appalling and I feel no connection to this team.

Getting the youth players in there will give the crowd a chance to get behind players who will give 100%.

Crickey. It's bad but it's not BAWK bad mate!

We've still got plenty to lose.

I just can't get behind the majority of the Xl mate.

Sat watching it with 4 other blues yesterday and we were all saying the same.

Only Gana and Coleman give 100%.

Barry and Baines try, but age is catching up with them.

The rest just don't do anywhere near enough.

If these same players start against Uniged, the atmosphere amongst our own fans will be horrendous.

koeman is chasing the barca job so rumours say. you'd think he'd take the everton job seriously. ship the like of baines, jagielka, kone, lennon and the likes out and start from scratch. he had the summer to show intent which deteriorated into a farce. i just dont think he knew what he was taking on which in itself worries me. no doubt money talked which again suggests hes the wrong manager

Players need some nutcase chairman to get a reaction from them.

Massimo Moratti had the whole Inter squad bussed to his mansion once, to apologise for a defeat, collectively and individually.

He's out of work (!)

Make that call, Farhad.

your right about a couple of things there mate which I've mentioned to my mates and again we are all saying the same thing

hate is such a strong word but it borders close to how I feel about this particular group of players. This has been the case for a couple of seasons before. Never felt like that before and I've witnessed some utter tripe teams. Just no backbone and bottle to this side and you nail it when you say their "lack of Everton". That is spot on, it's so un Everton that it becomes impossible to connect to this group of no marks

Honestly, if someone called me up today and said we have sold all the squad and we will have to play the u23's until January I wouldn't be bothered.

Awful group of players, no bottle, fragile, no teamwork, no little partnerships, all in it for themselves. Worst group I've had the displeasure of having to watch in an Everton shirt the past couple of seasons and this season is a continuation. They really should be ashamed of themselves tbh but of course they won't be because they are more than happy to continue to put in unacceptable displays and get away with it.

If we finish any higher than last year it's an improvement. I think some of us got carried away in the summer with talk of titles and big spending. A higher finish, positive stadium movement, a full season to assess the squad. Let's all take a deep breath.

IMO only 4 senior pros shouldn't be binned off before next season.. Williams, Geuye, Bolasie and Lukaku, 3 of which Koeman brought in..

Coleman is poor defensively and unless he is on form going forward he offers nothing, I thought Cedric looked twice the RB, I don't understand why Coleman is rated so highly and suggestions he is captain material are ludicrous in my opinion. Baines offers little too and I think this has been the case with our full backs for the last few seasons. It's worrying that these two are considered two of our better players right highlighting how poor the squad Koeman inherited was.

Barkley's only hope for me is next to Gueye in CM, he is simply not a number 10, he is nowhere near intelligent enough and has poor awareness of where people are when receiving the ball with his back to goal. I can understand if Koeman does not trust him as a CM however. The lad has all the ability in world but doesn't know how to use it. I think there is still time for him to begin to fulfil his potential, but not much.

Dela and Mirallas are going nowhere. Both have shown they have a lot of class but rarely show it, I don't think the pair of them are Koemans cup of tea.

I have picked on these players rather than the rest of the utter garbage we have because these are the players I think Koeman expected to step up and deliver for him and I think they have massively let him down with individual performances. It's not Koemans fault Barkley is constantly giving the ball away, Coleman and Jags can't defend a cross or the first man gets hit on the majority of crosses.

It's scary to think where we would be now without the players Koeman brought in and he will have a much better idea of what action needs to be taken in the transfer window. I trust him to put the right squad together but with the amount of deadwood we have it's going to take at least 2/3 more windows. I don't think we will be a good side until the season after next.

He can't tackle nor has the workrate to play CM unfortunately.
