Ronald Koeman discussion

Thanks to the massive Everton for stealing this man from us so we could hire someone who actually uses some of the "not good enough" players within our academy. Nice of Koeman to come out after the game and say he didn't actually know who Sims was either, despite him being our 2nd most used player in the U21s last year.

Enjoy him guys, thanks for the 3 points!
Is everything OK at home mate?
I sense a lot of anger.

That Southampton fan, you're ignored, but perhaps your spleen would be more appropriately vented at Liverpool, who have gone back so often for your players its worse than a knocking shop. They have probably allocated van Dijk's squad number already for January.

Lukaku can't play on his own up front mate so have a go with 4-4-2, the funny thing is he's looked better when Valencia has come on and gone up top with him, Valencia (no laughing at the back!) at least has a bit of movement therefore giving defenders something else to deal with and that then makes that space for Lukaku. Get Davies in the middle with Gana, maybe his battling and enthusiasm might rub off on the other bellends out there.

Koeman needs to start earning that £6m a year mate.

A few of us today agreed that Valencia didn't look that bad. Not great but not bad.

As for Davies. I think people want him without remembering he's about 12.

He really does now.

He NEEDS to change it.

He needs to see what we can all see in that the system must be changed.

Understandable. Got nothing against Everton at all. You guys do have to realise though that you got Koeman because no other top 6 club wanted him and you were the ones who could throw the money at him when we chose not to. He's confirmed this in interviews since so it's not a case of equal terms being offered and him choosing you over us instead.

I'm fully aware we're a selling club and no I don't enjoy it. However players like van Dijk are fully out of our league as a club, therefore they'll move on to clubs with Champions League football, not a sideways or slightly inclined step. Koeman was evidently not out of our league and therefore moved to a team who are marginally better than ourselves. Players don't make sideways steps like these, Koeman did because you offered a lot more money and he couldn't agree terms with us going into his final year.

Anyway, apologies for starting on the wind-up. Enjoyed that a lot today!
Both of us our selling clubs the past x amount of years point to this.
Make no bones we are a far bigger club than yourselves, but let be honest both are still light years away from CL football.
We were terrible today, and you fully deserved the win

does neutral mean you're determined to undermine him at every turn before he even got here? I thought I was neutral but now I'm not so sure..

actually this reminds me how embarrassed I was when we invited Koeman to be our manager, to hear all your mad shrieking.
We'll pop around next in January when the window opens, and remember, it's just business.
*sigh*

As bad as we are now, and we are pretty crap, I am pretty sure the doomsday scenario in some peoples heads for the next few games will actually happen. I don't really like Koeman, but I can imagine he will adjust us to play more busparky against Man U, Arsenal and them lot. It wont be pretty but I don't think he will just let us continue in the same vein over December.

What a brilliant post. You'll never sign players of van Dijk's calibre again, he will become bigger than your club.

You've all been conned by the words of Moshiri. Everyone on here was predicting a top 5 finish during the Summer and now you're all aware it's just a transition year! Of course I'm here to gloat, you'd have had me think you were the eighth wonder of the world a few months ago. Interested to see what's gone wrong though if a more level-headed Evertonian would like to fill me in?

Why did you end up with about 3 signings and then miss out on a further two absolutely dreadful players as well? Not a bit worried about giving these "big funds" to a manager who is proving incompetent in the transfer market?
thanks for dropping by, see you at Goodison in January... or probably not seeing as you have declined the full allocation again.... absolute tosspot club Southampton

I think RL can play up front on his own, but needs good service from wide positions and through the middle.
He will score goals if given the right service, but if we are going to use him like a Old style centre forward we might as well sell him now....or play the second forward, which I don't think RK would sacrifice a holding midfielder for
Give him good service he will score
Hoof balls up to him and expect him to hold the ball up....no chance at all

A decision the manager needs to make...
